I think BLM is not against the idea of the police. Sometimes Portland PD will be allowed to do their job and keep the groups separate for the event itself, but sit back and do nothing while antifa follows them to their vehicles and attacks them when they're trying to leave. We'll see if today is any different.

These rallies usually get spicy right after they end, when Antifa try to huntdown people going back to their cars. Also Local PD was deputized as Federal Marshals this morning, just like State Troopers were. There is a "Unified Command" between US Marshals, State, County, and City police that is promising to be highly active today. So far they have not moved into shutdown the Proudboy rally, which is a good sign they are aren't trying to Charlottesville the event.

Did Portland council ban the PD from communicating with the Feds? Wonder how that works with them being deputized.
