VA isn't at play because of NOVA, but there are quite a few congressional districts in VA that flipped blue in 2018 that he's probably hoping to flip back.

Same thing with California. The GOP lost 7? congressional seats in safe R districts because CA legalized ballot harvesting before the 2018 Midterms. The CAGOP now understands the importance of this and is trying to flip them back hence why Trump visited CA last week; however, that may be exceedingly difficult given CA is sending a prepaid mail-in ballot to every registered voter. CA has 21m registered voters and per the Judicial Watch lawsuit has between 3.5 and 5m ineligible voters on its voter rolls.

In 2018, the GOP lost 31 Congressional seats in districts that voted for Trump and it only needs to pick up 17 to retake the House (if it loses no other seats). Expect rampant voter fraud as the Dems are desperate to not be fully pushed out of the federal govt.

I think Trump is trying to flip congressional seats for the House, but I think Virginia could maybe be in play this election cycle because of Northam and the counties outside Richmond and NoVA are probably energized enough to vote against the Democrats but it would only work if we got low enough voter turnout in NoVA. Richmond got fucked so hard by BLM that I could see it going light blue from a mix of depressed turnout and people pissed at the joggers but the key issue would be whether or not NoVA will still have the usual turnout to go full Manhattan Effect again as usual.

Trump's hoping to get those seats to flip and help him in the House and if he does end up going against the odds and catches a lucky break and get a very narrow flip of Virginia, he'll gladly take it.

Seeing the rallies in VA makes me wonder if the Trump campaign is trying to flip it.

NOVA is basically on Democratic lockdown. It would take all of Hampton Roads and Richmond to even entertain flipping the state.

Any polls? I can see the possibility with how unpopular the new Governor and legislature have been.

Earlier this year, I would have definitely said that Virginia was in play based on Northam's gun grabs (and the outrage that sparked from it).

COVID pretty much removed Northam's gun control policies from mainstream news, so I'm assuming it's all but forgotten. Then, you add the voter fuckery that's going on right now, and I'll say that VA is most likely going to go blue again.

However, I commend Trump for actually trying. So many GOP candidates have "quit" on states that have flipped blue, and Trump is actually trying to fight for them. This is why there is strong enthusiasm among Trump voters: Trump fights for the people that support him. And hey, if it does end up working, and he wins VA, then that's even better.

Back in 2016, a lot of GOP pundits were laughing at Trump for campaigning in Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. "These are the moves of a desperate man!" Trump ended up winning 2/3 states. So, you know, the efforts in VA are worth trying, I'd say!

So I've watched the talk that Barnes had on Viva Frei about ACB. I must admit I know way too little about this topic, but he seemed reasonable in his opinions and I think he had some solid arguments.
