US Instances of Voter Fraud (Megathread?) - Probably a good idea to have a thread on this given how often it's discussed and will continue to be discussed even after November.

all mail in ballots need to be notorized in my state. and just going off what i hear and see with people and their legal issues, there's going to be a ton of ballots that're going to be discarded because they wont be notorized.

Mail in ballots aren't the key. I'll be voting in person, so I can see them crumple up my ballot, lol. It makes the pleasure greater.

Earlier this summer, I had to wait for work-related forms from the IRS. It took two weeks from the postmark date for the forms to arrive. Similarly, I've known people whose health insurance requires prescriptions to be handled via mail order. Many of them have had issues with timely-requested medications arriving late or not at all. Also, there's been issues with people paying/sending their bills on time only to be hit with late fees because the post office didn't deliver the payments on a timely basis.
A lot of these issues happened before the highly-publicized flap involving President Trump and the USPS, so poor mail service has been an ongoing issue for quite some time and seems to be independent of whomever is our president.
It won't surprise me if any mail-related woes relating to absentee ballots will be used to further the Dems' "Orange Man bad" narrative.
It's part of a bigger trend (see also; BLM et. al.) where people take statistically atypical events and blow them up to make them seem more frequent than they actually are. As you stated, @HeyYou, the article is seemingly light on measurable/repeatable methodology in favor of confirmation bias.
In states such as Michigan that recently approved no-reason absentee balloting, election clerks didn't have enough time to make sure existing processes scaled to handle the inevitable influx of absentee applications and votes. In Michigan specifically, one of the new provisions that allows people to register on election day also slowed things down in the first election(s) where it was an option.
in Michigan, Governor Whitmer felt it was unconstitutional to require people to wear their masks to vote even though they have to wear them anyplace else under threat of a $500 misdemeanor offense. As a result, countless people in the vulnerable categories and people leery of those that refuse to take any sort of COVID precautions chose to vote absentee instead.
The best thing for absentee voting would be to physically drop the ballots off at the clerk's office whenever possible. It won't eliminate all possibilities for gamesmanship, but it reduces issues associated with unreliable mail service or deposit boxes whose security is iffy at best.

Unable to intervene in the original suit, state and national Republican leaders filed a suit in Michigan to overturn the previous/recent ruling allowing anyone in the state to turn in ballots and to count certain absentee ballots received after Election Day.

A question for the burgers.
I assume it's different in different states, but what's the situation concerning regular citizens or representatives of political parties being present during the voting- or counting process and the handling of ballot boxes?
I assume there is some transporting of ballot boxes from polling stations, to centralized counting centers. A prime opportunity to garnish boxes or to have certain ones dissapear.
With how much the Republican side is certain of upcoming cheating from the left, it seems they should have some initiative going to get as many observers spread through the process as possible, to make cheating harder.

lol at ballot boxes. Everything is done with digital voting machines these days. The mail in ballots are also scanned with digital equipment. There is no manual counting of votes.

Guerilla filmmaker James O’Keefe is famous for having busted institutions ranging from the fraudulent voter-registration group ACORN to NPR to Google. His Project Veritas team has also piled up an impressive array of videos documenting voter fraud and how easy it is to commit it.
Veritas reporters found that it was easy to vote using the name of a dead person in New Hampshire. They filmed a Greenpeace activist in Colorado boasting about how he could find ballots in trash cans that could be fraudulently mailed in. In North Carolina, political operatives encouraged Veritas representatives to vote even if they were not citizens. In 2016, Veritas cameras caught Alan Schulkin, Manhattan’s Democratic election commissioner, saying, “It’s absurd. There is a lot of fraud. Not just voter fraud, all kinds of fraud.” He explained, “They put [people] in a bus and go from poll site to poll site.” Schulkin was promptly fired for his candor by New York City mayor Bill de Blasio.
Now O’Keefe has trained his cameras on “ballot harvesting,” in which third parties collect mail-in ballots and deliver them to election officials. While illegal in some states, it is legal in California and other states. The individual collecting the ballots can even be a paid campaign worker for someone who is on the ballot. Omar was first elected in 2018 and quickly became a controversial figure, rebuked for her anti-Semitic remarks and accused of shady campaign spending and having committed immigration fraud by marrying her brother. In 2020, she was challenged by Antone Melton-Meaux, a lawyer who promised to pay less attention to national progressive politics and who ran on the campaign slogan “Focused on the Fifth.” He was endorsed by the Minneapolis Star Tribune editorial board and former Minneapolis NAACP president Nekima Levy-Armstrong.
Melton-Meaux wound up losing in the August Democratic primary, 57 percent to 39 percent.
Many people believe that Omar’s complete domination of the district’s politics is rooted in her machine’s ability to fool, seduce, or bribe members of her Somali community into committing voter fraud.

So why does Liban Mohamed, a “ballot broker,” boast about having 300 ballots in his car from the August primary, many of them blank and some opened? “Money is everything,” he laughs on the video.
