There have been Interview Logs for a long time, most notably one for 096, which was structured like an AAR with an MTF commander going through the disastrous effort they took to capture it following a containment breach. Alternatively, at least some of the "Interview the Skip" logs provide a good demonstration of that point as well, with faceless researchers goading the subject and leading it to do something horrible, showing once again why you can't treat sentient Skips as playthings.

Apparently the Skip is connected to the Scarlet King mythos, and it’s supposed to be the mind of a 231 instance. The whole thing is ridiculous, as you said, and is a good demonstration in the negative effects the desire to create continuity.

I thought that was just lazy writing. It’s far easier to make a character just straight out tell the reader what the monster is than it is to think of a way to make the reader infer what it might be. Either way, lots of interview logs are a sign of a shitty scp.

He’s not going to transition, which is the whole point. Don't fret, though! Clef is also a 'retired' SCP administrator, so we know he's always had the purest intentions toward younger people.

I think your first analysis is spot-on, especially about him going for timid people who are unlikely to say no. He's a chaser/fetishist, but I don't think he's anything close to MtF or trans himself. I would be very surprised if he got on hormones or put on a dress for any reason other than because it amuses him (like in the old FetLife pics). Over the several years that I knew him, he never mentioned experiencing gender dysphoria, and he never demonstrated a grasp of trans topics beyond just repeating leftist talking points about Society. He's always been a self-hating male feminist. In 2019, the dirt on him was adding up in the community and he suddenly 'came out' as nonbinary on Coming Out Day (archive).

The culture in communities like SCP puts a lot of stock into being anything other than cis or straight, and that seems to cause some people who otherwise would've been to think that they shouldn't be. I think the bottom line is that social media and online communities aren't healthy places for teenagers to explore personal identity, especially when the issue is better suited for professional help.
