US First Presidental Debate - Boomerdome 2020

Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I work 10 minutes away from the venue and we're shutting down at 2 today and a bunch of other area businesses are closing early. Does that man in the first picture have two wives? That's based. Also, since the second picture is from the past year, wouldn't that also be Trump's America? I mean, I get the point it's trying to make, but Biden hasn't been President, so things that are currently happening technically can't be part of "his America." The only way to know what Biden's America would look like, would be if he won. And he won't.

I am so fucking hype for this bros, with Biden's mental state these debates could easily be better than the 2016 general debates. Nothing will beat the 2016 primary debates though, imo.

As much as I want to see Biden gaffe it up, I think he will be more coherent and do better than expected. He will be pumped full of horse vitamins and chemicals to make him his Sanders debate levels of coherent.

Expect him to continously call a lid following the debate as his body crashes from the steroids and other life giving chemicals are flushed from his system.

I think a big reason Biden did so well vs Bernie was the way the debate was set up, basically imagine dementia as ADD, they were able to get him to focus and be in top shape by removing all distractions. Him and bernie 6 feet apart no audience and almost no one on set. If trump was smart he would have the crowd be like showtime at the apollo.

Even get some streakers and protesters, and then constantly switch subjects so biden will be too confused to keep up. Having said that we all know wallace will fuck him

I'm tapering my hype for this. I think it could produce some good lulz, but I think Biden will skate by and do nothing too out there. The mod will give Biden softballs while hammering Trump. I know Trump could go HAM on Biden and ruin the man's race, but he's smart enough not to do that since it could result in bad optics.

What’s strange was that I was going to finish watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes while playing Metal Gear Solid all the way until Election Day. I don’t really know anyone that cares this much about Biden vs. Trump, outside of the people who either don’t like Biden or Trump, or the people who were never even going to vote for Biden or vote for Trump in the first place.

Oh boy. Yet another debate where there is an exorbitant focus on the economy, which the president can barely effect, but no time given to foreign policy, when the president is the Head of State and the Commander in Chief.

Foreign policy debates are often the lowest rated.

Also, the majority of Americans are dumbasses who don't actually know how the government works. The debates are really just to fire up respective bases and find the right combination of buzzwords that might entice independent voters.

You have to consider that Biden is a puppet Trojan horse for the DNC.

I know Trump could go HAM on Biden and ruin the man's race, but he's smart enough not to do that since it could result in bad optics.

They already tried to lead the public into believing that he committed tax evasion, after circulating a clearly false report that he called living and dead veterans losers, after insisting that he had received information that the Russians were paying Afghans to kill American soldiers and nothing about it. And that's to say nothing about how they've presented his (flawed, to be sure) response to the epidemic, or anything relating to him and Russia.

Outside of shots involving Beau, I doubt there's good reason to hold back. His opposition isn't, his base wouldn't want him to, and independents/swings aren't going to pity vote for Biden just because they watched Trump commit elder abuse on live television.

Anyone know of a good place to rewatch the debate for those dang dirty Europoors who won't be able to catch the debate live? Will C-Span have it up on Youtube? Keen to avoid spoilers so I can be horribly disappointed by a competent Biden and Wallace fighting Trump on the Dems' behalf.

I am actually not looking forward to this: I just get the feeling it will be boring and people will hope for something interesting to happen until the last seconds, nor I am looking forward to the live-time spinning everyone will be doing; So I am just going to tune this out then check in a few hours afterwards to see the general reaction across a few different websites.

And if anything truly funny happens I'm sure there will be more than enough web-pages full of people reacting to it that I can browse through it all later.

I'm pretty sure if pressed on tax evasion, he'd bring up his Biden and his wife using a S-Corp to route their income through and not pay social security taxes and whatnot.
