Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
You can view Joe Biden's megathread here, and Donald Trump's megathread here

On one hand this is probably the first presidential debate I've seen where the moderator actually had a backbone and moderated. I have no complaints about him, especially compared with all the other spineless debate "moderators."

He's correctly calling them out for interruptions, Trump needs to be reigned in for his own optics' sake.

However, his phrasing of the questions is clearly slanted against Trump and designed to give softball questions to Joe. He's just automatically taking a Democratic version of every event from the economy to Charlottesville. He gets Joe halfway to the answer just by asking the question.

Talking about what they're going to do for the next four years if they win is boring

Get back to yelling at each other over principles (kinda over principles)

Joe is programmed and his preprogrammed responses are activated by trigger words. What a disaster.

I think he's pissed off at Trump and is retaliating by making it easier for Biden.
