Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
You can view Joe Biden's megathread here, and Donald Trump's megathread here

I'm watching the debate with normie family members that don't really like either of the candidates. So far Trump looks like an asshole, but we all expected that. Biden has come across as especially weak tho. Especially in the BLM/antifa/cop part. My dad is laughing his ass off at Trump's constant interruptions. We all agree that Chris Wallace sucks as a moderator.

Trump is right when he says that we're not ready to handle 80 million ballots.

I don't even think it's a cheating thing.

I think it's because the postal system can't handle it on such short notice.

The Postal Service handles 500 million pieces of mail daily.

80 to 100 million over a period of weeks wouldn't be a problem if the Postal Service didn't want it to be

Wallace: "Could be days, could be weeks..."

Trump: "Could be months..."

Jesus fuck I'm loling so hard right now
This is a really good point to consider. If they're saying they can't actually declare a winner on Election Day, does that mean the talking heads on the cable networks won't be doing their usual day-long coverage of it?

I think this post earlier in the thread sums it up; Everyone is going to see what they wanted to see from the debate and declare victory. Centrists/Independents will just be tired.
Anyone who comes away from this supporting Biden should be sterilized with a hot knife. They deserve neither reproductive capabilities nor genitalia.
