Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
You can view Joe Biden's megathread here, and Donald Trump's megathread here

That was part of the plan. Have Trump fucking piledrive Biden in the first debate to make Trump look like an outright bully.

That's a terrible plan. This is also a highly visual medium. When people even vaguely recall the debate, 2 images will pop up: Trump taking control of the show from the moderator while gesturing defiantly with his finger, and Biden looking down and pathetically sighing "shut up, man..." like someone getting paper planes thrown at him in class.

Pelosi was going on about cutting Trump's mic earlier today.

Why does the left always run to "silence them" when there is a percieved problem?
Trump should just bring a bullhorn and use that if they cut his Mike off.

I'd prefer a more reasonable debate of ideas too, but these guys want to be elected president, not win the "most distinguished loser" award. Romney has that award locked up for life anyway.

Let's remember, back in 2016, debate questions were leaked to Hillary and his Mike kept "cutting out". He'd be a complete moron to "play fair" while the other side blatantly cheats.

So he does an end run around the moderator and network, and tries to directly convince the voters. This is the essence of Trump's success, he knows by communicating directly to the voters, they have a chance to get his actual message, not some stuffed shirt "expert's" opinion of what they claim Trump really meant.

Trump gets his mic cut and immediately walks over and Kanye's Biden in front of the United States of America.
He is from New York, Yanks don't walk over to steal mics...they just yell "YOU SUCK." loud enough for the mic to pick it up.

Watch a Yankee's home game where the Yankee's pitcher absolutely shits the bed for no reason..you will hear it.

Cut mikes Announced for next debate :story: :story: :story:
get ready for a shitshow next debate from CNN.

I was wondering when it was going to happen. All I've got in my head now is one of them going up to the other's mic when it's not their turn to say something and it gets more dumber and wilder from there.

I didn't watch the debates because I work nights, but Biden must've not done too well.

I say that because instead of talking about how great Biden was, all of the leftys on my Normiebook are just jumping up and down and screaming about Trump's proud boys line, beating it to death like a pack of kebabs beating a white woman.

When Hillary and Orange Man debated, they were at least picking out and praising actual things Hillary said.
I wasn't able to watch because it sounded boring and I wanted to play video games instead, but it sounds to me like Biden did just fine. The buzz a couple days ago was that he was such a doddering rest home patient that the Dems couldn't possibly let him on stage with The Donald lest he be ripped to shreds... now it's all "boo-hoo the moderator was biased", "he must have worn a wire and injected adderall", etc. This was supposed to be a public slaughter that disqualified Biden in the eyes of normalfags and pushed Trump over the top even in the Jewsmedia's fake polls.

It's rather akin to how Hillary was supposed to shit herself onstage and then the God Emperor would drop his proof that she's a lesbian cannibal witch before dragging her away in irons. Instead, Trump got Reddit Gold for "you'd be in jail" (she still isn't) and other than that it was boring and gay.

Of course it doesn't matter who "really" won, only if either of them swayed some voters.

I give it a near 100% chance CNN cuts Trump's mic whenever he makes a dangerously effective point, like calling out the "Harris Biden administration". He poked at it during this debate but didnt go all in, I think that was a mistake.
Why release all your ammo in one debate tho.

I'd love to see CNN cutting Trump's mic. America will collectively lose their shit and vote for Trump.

It will only serve to outrage his base because of transparent rigging on LIVE FUCKING TV.

If Trump planned for this, this dude is a fucking time traveler as I have said for 3 years now.

Please explain how yet another denunciation of white supremacists, does anything for people who still ignore his denunciation of them at C-ville, and his calling the antifa mob fine people.

The fact that question was even asked, rather than about the ME peace deals (Trump Nobel Peace prize nomination counter is at 3) is one of the most glaring examples of Chris Wallace's biased incompetence.
(Maybe I’m late, thread’s moving fast.) Foreign Policy is typically its own debate.
