Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
You can view Joe Biden's megathread here, and Donald Trump's megathread here

There's actually a really popular theory that Hamilton basically wanted to martyr himself, because his career was dead (At time time), and Burr was a New England secessionist. Hamilton also wanted to basically ruin Burr completely and utterly for the rest of his life and paint him as a villian. He didn't refuse the duel or make any attempts, wanted to duel him beforehand. He also knew Burr was an incredible shot and that he wasn't going to shoot at Burr beforehand because he didn't believe in taking a life. He gave Burr the best position to shoot him and purposefully egged him on.

So either Hamiltion was idiotic and reckless, or he wanted his death to have a purpose and he had a lot of pain but still didn't want to suicide.
I've read that as well. I also had the impression most of his peers thought of him as a lolcow so him trying to own Burr in the duel doesn't surprise me. But I'm not sure he was deliberately trying to kill himself in process. Back then most people didn't die from the gunshot wound, they died from sepsis and it's a horrible and extremely painful way to go. But at least he got a shitty musical out of it a couple hundred years later.

edited to make it more clear the bullet didn't kill you but the infection did

What an odd thing to lie about. I mean he's clearly worn one from time-to-time, but you can find plenty of pictures of him from 2015-2017, prior to this interview, where he isn't wearing the rosary. I don't really think it's all that important, it's just such an odd thing to lie about, unless you're just trying to fish for sympathy because of your dead son.

I swear, it's getting harder and harder to find things that Joe hasn't lied about in the past, because even the small things that people tended to overlook wound up being untrue. This dude is just pervasively, pathologically dishonest.

Chris Wallace is super disappointed at how the debate went guys

This guy is the very definition of the term "presstitute."

I mean look at this quote:

"I've read some of the reviews, I know people think, Well, gee, I didn't jump in soon enough," Wallace said. "I guess I didn't realize — and there was no way you could, hindsight being 20/20 — that this was going to be the president's strategy, not just for the beginning of the debate but the entire debate."

No comment addressing the people saying you carried water for your dementia daddy Biden, eh?

"shoot me nigga!"

I'm here for Trump not denouncing white supremacy and here's why. We live in the USA. People should be able to talk about and organize how ever they please about whatever dumb fuck toxic af belief. Nazis, antifa, the KKK, the black panthers, the proud boys, all of 'em. Not only becuz freedom and the slippery slope of government enforcing laws limiting free speech for "Safety", but because when something is banned, people just want to do it more. Democracy can sort out which rhetoric becomes law, but until then, it really all is a screeching hill of beans.

And I'm super disappointed he hasn't hung himself from his bedroom ceiling after that fucking embarrassment.

He did that interview with Opera where he brought it out. Such an odd thing to lie about when he's been photographed now not wearing it. That being said, if there is one thing I am sure that he is honest about, it's his love/fondness for Beau Biden. The only time he got fired up and sounded genuinely upset in any way last night was around Beau, even if it was for some weird pity play. With Hunter, it's almost reluctant acceptance that he's a fuckup who can't run a scheme without getting caught, but Beau.. it stings him that he died of cancer.

Time and again Trump counter punches and will do so to the point where everything in his path gets destroyed even if its a friendly, but he doesn't start the fights.

Liberals always think its OK to start shit, but its wrong to retaliate. Why they always defend poor innocent criminals who dindu nuffin but shoot at the cops, and for some reason (definitely racism) the cops fucking shoot back and kill them.

Hitting peoples' cars, dragging them out of them and beating them to death... and some drivers decide to hit accelerate instead of put their head in the guillotine, and... the problem is "those homocidal drivers".

They're allowed to throw the first punch, spit in your face, and do anything... but if you even say a word they don't like, like "he" in reference to someone with a penis, it means you should be arrested and executed.
