We don't know that yet, it could be that he's positive with a symptomatic strain but simply hasn't developed symptoms yet.
He'll probably survive this, anyway (not to jinx it).
I wonder if one candidate catching covid will somehow affect the votes a little.

It's the October surprise. Get the left celebrating his imminent death. Get them panicking about Biden having been in near proximity to Trump's DEADLY YELLING. Get all the doom and gloom. Then when he inevitably is just fine and able to continue campaigning he can add credence to his claim that "we need to just open up the country already".
Coof is his biggest campaign issue the Dems and media nail him on, diffusing that is critical.
I also maintain that Trump already had COVID in Spring when he surprise announced he was taking Hydroxy_Chloroquine. To my understanding, the time when you go on that regimen is when the infection first starts. I'm taking this bet, this is calculated.

Frankly, I would be less worried if Biden was the real candidate and not Harris. He won't be able to run the country in the shape he is and all sort of unimaginable horror awaits a Harris administration, who would be guaranteed to be re-elected since the Dems would be able to rig it without accountability. Barrett needs to get confirmed or it's all over.

Regardless of my doomposting, I hope Trump has a good recovery from his doctors. I don't agree with him on everything but I'd rather have him live than die which could really mess up the world. But with 2020, who knows what will happen.

Did it crash the economy when Kennedy died? I don't think it did. If it didn't that time, I doubt it would do so if Trump died. Pence would just take over for what little time is left of Trump's administration.
That said, I doubt Trump will experience major health problems. At worst symptoms should be mild but I personally think it's asymptomatic. It's the electoral fallout that we should be concerned about.
