It was funny at first, but November is getting closer and closer. And 2020 is showing no signs of slowing down.

I guess you could say it's a bit of a lottery. Some people are really affected by the virus although they're not in any of the risk groups. There have been healthy 21 year-olds that died from corona. Others are old and sick as fuck but walk out of the ICU after 2-3 months.
Unless he's REALLY unlucky, he's going to be just fine. We have learned a lot about the virus and know how to treat it much more efficiently than just a few months ago. He's got the best medical care available.
He'll get over the virus and ultimately benefit from it. If he, a 74 year-old obese man in a very stressful position can beat the virus, he's proving his point that it's not a big deal. It also shows he's not as frail as Sleepy Joe. Him getting sick is ironic for sure, but I doubt much will change in the long run.

If Trump were to die, it could diminish the chances of violence following the election. The narrative would be "Trump would have won if he hadn't died" rather than "Trump did win, but the Other Side interfered with the election."

In that case, I'd say calm down a bit. Trump isn't likely to die or be seriously incapacitated by this. Maybe take a break from watching the news for a little while, or reduce your intake of that stuff for a bit.

Ok. Maybe this is a good lesson for everyone who likes to consider themselves a "political animal". Whenever the death of a leader happens, no good can come up from it. And before you start bringing the 9th grader Hitler example, for those who served and survived under his rule life was pretty much over when Berlin fell and I hope I don't need to remind you he is your president, no matter how hard you think you can autistically screech. That's a hard fact.
Now, in my humble opinion, I don't think he'll die. COVID is a strange virus. It doesn't affect everyone the same way and the reasons are sometimes genetic, sometimes pre-existing conditions and sometimes merely circumstantial. I've lost close relatives to COVID as well as friends who merely had a simple fever for a day after they caught it . I might have had it too but I'm not willing to get anywhere near a hospital to confirm it (that's how the ones I knew died). It's a game of chance with the only real factor at play being "If you have weak ass health, it's more probable it'll get you" but that's it. And even if he's a fatso with poor eating habits, I can't think of anyone better covered by any health care system in the planet.
The real question here is what's left for the rest of the American people and the world? Given the current political climate, the least thing I expect from the rioting crew is death wishes and more rioting but for the common folk at home, trying to survive the virus, the isolation, the collapsing economy, depression, loneliness, fear, autism, etc. is a silent pray for things not to sink any deeper. If Trump dies, things will get worse in every conceivable way because nothing good comes from the death of a leader, ever.
Democracy must continue. Voting should not be cancelled. For those who are not reactionary morons or delusional menchildren, you'll understand.
For the rest, well...

The main difference as I see it is that everyone waited for the cryptkeeper to die before celebrating while in this case these people are celebrating now like it's a guarantee that trump will die
