It's ultimately irrelevant. Even if Spanish Flu took more than 1% of the global population, COVID is well shy of matching the impact of the Spanish Flu, let alone coming even remotely close to the "three times as bad" scenario Globohomo presented the unwashed masses with in March.
And here we are 102 years later, and the same strain of influenza is still claiming lives and no one ever demanded that society drastically alter itself because people were coughing and sweating a lot.

Trump will be fine. The death rate in his age demographic is around 3%. we essentially have a 97% chance of him surviving in good health. This "pandemic" is no worse than the common cold

Let's be honest, even if Biden had it, the DNC wouldnt relase that info or blatantly lie and say he didnt. It would defeat the "masks all the time help" narrative since Biden is always wearing a mask. Theyll just have him call several lids as per usual and do some streams and no one would bat an eye since everyone is used to Biden doing that anyways. Worst case scenario is they lie about Biden having Covid and still have him out an about while infected just so they dont admit their narrative wrong.

Fast recovery, big guy! Given the resources at his disposal, I don't expect a bad outcome.
Meanwhile, this is going to be a fascinating media study. Trump immediately gets a sympathy bump, that is a given. But depending how the media handle it, they could hand Trump even more support. I fully expect at least one or two pundits to toe the CCP's line and gloat about a person getting sick. And that is going to turn people off/let the mask slip in a way that those that did not see it before will realize.
Furthermore, a recovery and a return to the trail reinforces that Trump is a fighter and will not stop working for the people no matter what. This is only going to help President Trump.
Or he dies. Either way it is bad news for China.

If by "negatively affect" he means "ded", then I'm willing to bet the Chinese will be celebrating the shit out of it.
It's possible, but we know the DNC will hide that fact from the public eye until after the election. That way if he kicks it, then they can finally put a woman in the presidential suite.

Watched ABC, media's going full speed ahead with the "didn't take it seriously" narrative.
I can see in some ways the man himself made some mistakes in underestimating it upon himself, but I do think it's a little bit far out to believe that they want to frame it as if he didn't want to take action at all to protect the people at large from COVID-19.
