Awful "Epic gamer" PC cases

Lian li desks are so fucking ugly

I hate hate hate RGB lighting on any computer component, internal or external, and lose all respect for anyone who uses that shit.

I agree. My new video card came with a really over the top RGB feature set and the first thing I looked for was the off setting.

Gotta :disagree: Those are a fantastic idea and look...like a desk. My Thermaltake from like 2001 is probably going to be replaced by the one of those that fits two PCs. The cable management purity will be euphoric.

Yea and then I found out I need some retarded special program to control that shit, and realized that since my case is lightproof and I never open it when it's running, it doesn't matter. Sadly they stuff RGB into everything now, but this way I don't have to bother fiddling with it. I think there's like 3 different colors on right now and I praise the fractal design gods.

It’s a desk, so explain how that’s ugly? Looks like any decent desk without drawers you’d find from any office furniture supplier.

It's a desk where you build your PC into.
I don't really have an opinion on those since it's just simply not my style. But I can imagine that you can make those look decent.

I'm usually not too bothered by epic gamer case design, but fuck me is it hard to find any modern mid tower case with 5.25" external drive bays. I get that optical media is yesteryear, but I like having the option for that or a card reader. I'm stuck in my old Rosewill Stealth at the moment because nothing new has more than 1 5.25" drive bay.

“Why are you in the hospital?!”

“Well, ma, I sliced my hand open and needed to get twelve stitches put in.”

“What were you doing?”

“Building a computer.”

And now, for the low, low price of $600, you too can get your very own digital mandoline and julienne the fuck out of your hand! You’ll be the envy of the whole neighborhood. It even does crinkle-cuts! Order yours today, only $49.95 s&h!

RGBfag redditors are so annoying, they are also the primary consumers of these type of computers. My ideal computer is a black box, mine only has glass on the side (even though the glass side is turned away right now) because I found the case cheap and it came with it, if I had found one that didn’t have glass I would have gotten it. The act of making your case look weird and have RGB is basically just practicing self fellatio constantly. “Damn I look good”

Whenever Newegg puts it on sale it's 40 bucks. All the bays and fans you'd ever want and no bullshit like exposed power buttons, windows or LEDs.

Fuck you I still have a scar from building a pc. though it was a deluxe casecom £10 metal box not a gamer thing. It was still a bargain though, £10 for a case with a hard drive cage sharper than a chefs knife

Sleek functional design > gaudy aesthetics every day.

That being said I've always wanted to build a powerful gaming rig in an old tower like this:

You'd likely never have to worry about it getting stolen.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'd probably want to do that with an eMachines case though.
