Childhood obesity is correlated with precocious puberty (no one's entirely sure why, but it could be because of hormonal indicators due to fat cells), so I wouldn't be surprised if kid Amber went through puberty super early. Her parents really screwed her over

If she went through puberty super early, that might explain why she developed her cancer at such a young age. Her body has been exposed to an excess of estrogen since she was a child.

I could be completely wrong but I don't see her at a normal weight in any of these photos. which leads me to believe that she's litterly always been overwheight which if so is really really sad.

Yes, it is sad. And notice how in most of these pictures she's eating or drinking from a bottle/sippy cup? Did her parents not ever take her outside and take pictures of her playing? Did they let her play outside or did they just keep plopping her in front of the TV with junk food?

Her eyes also look pretty dead in most of these pictures, which pretty much mirrors the expression on mommy dearest Kristine in this picture:

I hate to ever say anything in Amber's defense, but I don't think she'd even need to be a difficult child to get her parents to pacify her with cheap junk. Parenting is hard and junkies have other priorities.

The more time she spends in the car, the faster the car will eventually break down, and then we can watch her shop for a SUV or a minivan or whatever it is the mobile fats on MSHPL use.

Her birthday is December 27th, and at least where I live, that would mean she wouldn't start until Sept 1996. So if this picture was taken in the spring of 1997, that would mean she wasn't necessarily held back due to developmental delays. If it was taken in the fall, that's another story.

Her foster family had money. There is no way you can get that huge eating healthy home cooked meals at such a young age.
I bet her foster parents were morbidly obese and were constantly ordering fast food. I'd imagine her school life was absolute hell and was made fun of non-stop, cursed at, got into fights and used food to drown the negative emotions.

I think Becky buying her own stuff is because she is on welfare and foodstamps. I think AL says it in case anyone from the state watched it's clear Becky buys her own food and things. Becky might even get a rent portion since she has her own bedroom (but AL calls it the guest room?)

At least in my state this is untrue. You can get help from social services in these circumstances, but they keep a VERY close eye on you and ride your ass hard to get you back to work. And although food stamps and medicaid can continue a long time, cash isn't forever and it isn't much. Thumby could TRY for SSI, maybe for her mentalz, but as I've said before-it takes FOREVER and isn't easy.
