Youtube has been putting ads on everything lately, whether or not you're even able to place ads/earn money on your videos. They'll especially do it if it's copyright claimed and put more ads on it as some kind of weird punishment.

Don't take this whole "they're just trying to make money" thing at full face value. Youtube does a lot of fuckery with ads, and it's only increasing this year since I'm assuming they see the money making opportunity with the continuing Covid situation. Several larger youtube stations have had ads being thrown on their content with out their permission, or enabled across every one of their videos without permission either like in the case of RedLetterMedia. RLM almost always has specific cuts for where they want ads, like most videos, but they shoved half a dozen in a normal BOTW instead of the normal two that they'd go with.

That said, we have Jarbo on the other hand who is purposely loading his Boulder Radio archives with dozens of ads on purpose. My point is don't automatically assume that the ads are there because the uploader wanted them there.

Tea Clips provided a valuable service to Ralph, not that he would admit it now, in that it cut down his boring livestreams into short digestible clips. This made his content relevant, I certainly wouldn't have followed or kept interest in this part of the internet without clip channels - I just don't have the patience to sit through Ralph and whatever weirdo sperg he gets on as a guest talking out the side of their mouths about the Jews for hours on end.

The problem with Tea Clips arises when they insert themselves into the actual drama. Just keep clipping, and just flip off Ralph when claims the content is being stolen - it isn't you fat redneck.

Actually, after Sargon's lawsuit wins, I would say that Tea Clips is fair use because she is clipping only what is necessary for her commentary, which in this case would be her video titles, and sometimes video descriptions. Like Mr. E Grifter points out, not everyone is going to go watch several multi hour-long streams, so having a channel that does that and clips out only the parts they believe are the most interesting, adding a descriptive title, summary, and tags to it would all actually fall under fair use because after all, that's what Sargon did to Akila Hughs.
