A Louisiana man has been arrested after a 15-year-old Florida girl's parents found he had been living in their daughter's bedroom closet for more than a month after he met the teen online two years ago and traveled to meet her for sex.
Jonathan Rossmoine, 36, was arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes Sunday after the child's parents learned he had been secretly living in her bedroom at their family home in Spring Hill, Hernando County.
Rossmoine allegedly confessed to traveling from Louisiana to Florida on multiple occasions to have sex with the child, who described the 36-year-old as her boyfriend.
Police said he then moved into the girl's room in August, where he would hide out from her parents in the closet and emerge when they left the house.
Hernando County investigators were called to a home in Spring Hill Sunday when the girl's parents found Rossmoine living in her closet.

Police said the 36-year-old first made contact with his victim online two years ago through VRChat when the girl was around 13.
The virtual reality social platform allows users to use 3D avatars as their identities.
The suspected pedophile drove from Louisiana to Spring Hill to meet his victim and have sex with her on several occasions since they first communicated, police said.

Rossmaine then allegedly began living on and off in the girl's bedroom from August 19.
The suspect managed to remain undiscovered for around five weeks with the help of the teenager, staying hidden in the closet when the girl's parents were home and coming out when they left for work.
'He and the young lady came up with the idea that he could just stay in her room if he hid in the closet whenever the parents came in,' Hernando County Sheriff's Office Detective Tom Cameron said.

'They kept the bedroom door closed and locked and whenever someone came to the door it gave them an opportunity to run and hide in the closet and open up the door to where maybe she was changing or something.'

The parents heard noises coming from the bedroom Sunday and were shocked to discover Rossmoine in the storage space.
Rossmoine was arrested and charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim between the age of 12 and 16 and one count of obscene communication and travel to meet after use of a computer to lure a child.
The teenage victim referred to her alleged abuser as her boyfriend, police said.
Child psychologist Dr. Wendy Rice told Fox 13 the shocking case was a warning to parents about the dangers of the online world to children.
'Kids can be doing things under our noses and in your house that you might not be aware of that could shock you,' said Rice.
'Get the electronics out of the bedroom. That is key. None of us really need to be sleeping with our phones next to our beds and least of all teens.'
Rossmoine is being held in the Hernando County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
TL;DR: A 36 year old man meets an at the time 13 year old girl on VRChat. He had sex with the girl for the past 2 years then decided to live in her closet and gets caught.

First of all, I want pics of that closet. There's no way anyone could live in a closet unless it was as big as a walk-in, ESPECIALLY a woman's closet. Nothing but clothes and shoes as far as the eye can see. Also, if the doors aren't those Louvered Doors that give in SOME sort of ventilation, the guy would either be light-headed, or dead from lack of oxygen.

Second, since it's Florida, I'm going to say it's a white trash family, because under normal circumstances, a family with a 15 year old would have the mother do the kid's laundry and fold the clothes and put them away in a dresser drawer or closet, unless the kid knew how to do wash at that age. Even then, how the fuck would you not get suspicious of the girl doing more laundry and having more extra clothes than what she used to have?
A fifteen year old is thoroughly capable of doing her own washing.

Probably the same degree of careless neglect that made it possible for a 13-yo to meet up regularly with an old man for sex made it possible for those same parents to have no idea what was happening in her bedroom the last month or so. Also realize how defective a girl that age has to be to accept attention from *that*. Some combination of trailer trash, abuse, also probably being fat so nobody at school likes her, probably.

MAN FUCK THIS GAY STATE AND EVERYONE IN IT (INCLUDING ME) (:_(
If the sick fuck net her in VR, there might be a big old digital trail to dig up and yell at. I'm horrified that he was able to evade suspicion for so long, and I'm sure the parents are too and are thinking of their own choices.
I highly doubt it. Parents that damn useless are used to blaming everyone else for their fuck ups. It won't be their failure, it'll be the fault of the internet or school or anything but them.

Rhetorical question; but I want to know why the cops weren't called to clean up the closet corpse instead.

This is a fail, in terms of Florida stories & parenting.

But if it'd happened over in Brooksville, we'd never heard anything; the case would've ended in either a shotgun marriage or shotgun blast.

I don't know if I could actually kill a guy I found hiding in my kid's closet, but I know that I would certainly want to. Even though I'm probably too much of a wuss to actually do it myself, I do think killing pedos is the correct course of action. I'd never convict any parent who did it if I were on a jury, that's for sure.

The solution is to not stop & ask questions; leave that to the cops, who'll be thankful their interviews will be brief.

The time for questions would've been before that point.... like why did they allow a teenager to lock their door in the first place? Teen girls are notorious fire-hazards, besides everything else they're capable of.

But I repeat myself; we all know what the score is, and why.

These sort of situations can be avoided if you'd just put the computer in the family room and limit their use to an hour a day. If you're going to give your child a fucking phone, give them the clam shell ones, not a fucking smartphone. Sure, your kid will hate you, but the alternative is a shit ton worse.

On a sidenote: anybody else notice how ugly and autistic pedos are?
