I'm always suspicious when people draw conclusions about an artist/creator based on their art. Junji Ito draws fucked up manga and is a relatively well-adjusted guy, for example. While I definitely agree that Digi may have some issues with arrested emotional development (because Digi has said so in the past), it's a bit much to be throwing soft neuro-psych diagnosis at them because of a few shitty drawings from their twitter. It's on par with people trying to guess your personality by looking at your handwriting.
Junji Ito is a professional, he knows the kinds of elements to include in his illustrations to elicit specific emotional responses from his readers. A hallmark of a good artist is getting the consumer to experience emotions they intended them to feel, a great artist elicit emotional responses their consumers seldom experience, whereas a shit artist attempts to get the consumer to feel a certain way, but ends up making them feel other if not opposite feelings in a desperate attempt to convince people they're good,

If Digi thinks scribbles that look like they were drawn by an eight-year-old who just watched his first R-rated movie with his parents is good enough for him to participate in an event like Inktober, that just shows what kind of man he is psychologically.

may as well start reading horoscopes
While soft sciences like Psychology are filled with flaws, they can still be incredibly useful tools and shouldn't be dismissed offhandedly. Granted, the conclusions in this instance were purely based off of some art without any other information (let alone actually interviewing the guy), so they're practically worthless, but it was still nice to read how a cursory evaluation like that mirrored up to a few of the conclusions on here.

He doesn't think they're 'good' enough to for any competition, he's just after his daily dose of attention.

Anyone who has watched a Digi video within the last 6 months will find some comedy in this one. Not necessarily BDSM amputee fetish "art," but still funny.

I've tried for a few minutes to come up with some snide comment but I can't. Digi, you're not a smart person. Even moderately intelligent people understand how important it is to live with and understand their emotions.

I guess you don't have to do that when you're too busy eating piles of benzos.

You don't need a Ph.D. to see he's a fucked up emotionally (and possibly mentally) retarded guy from these shitty drawings. Who would draw this shit? Nobody who should be around children or, for that matter, anyone else, that's who.

Short of concluding he's a probable child rapist, it's hard to see how it could be more accurate, considering it's what anyone who has watched this dude's public behavior for years has concluded. Of course, considering it's from some person who may not even exist, it may very well be just from someone who has watched this guy and decided to pretend it was from some psych type.

Instead of posting cringe armchair psychology let's go back to discussing lolis.
I'd rather listen to digibro's music than read another post about some degenerate shit that you should be ashamed of writing about even under a pseudonym. What you think about lolicon is generally not even related to the subject of this thread. You can find an anonymous imageboard and post there about how you think children can consent to sex with adults, about how child pornography is punished too harshly, or about the artistic value of your favorite hentai. Nobody will judge you there.

On the subject of digibro, it seems as if he hasn't posted anything to his patreon in over a month! He didn't even write the most recent posts on his patreon, based on what I have seen on yiff.party. (Actually, I don't know if anything on the patreon is written by digi tbh.) With May out of the picture, when might digibro next update his patreon? The outlook is not good for digibro's patreon.

Nobody gives a fuck about whom you judge. But people reading Conrad's shitty drawings like tea leaves and talking out of their asses is not entertaining. You're more boring than people who unironically discuss horoscopes.

The person that this (((fanart))) is for has "13/F/RU she/her" in their bio. At the same time the have their birthday marked as "January 4, 1988." Potentially a minor who just put a fake birthday to get past Twitter TOS or it could be some 32 year old who is into ageplay or some shit. Either way, really weird and one of these scenarios involves a known lolicon interacting with a 13 year old girl. I don't think that's the case, but a possibility. I don't know if Digi is aware of this person's age.

This person looks like a strange individual themselves. 1.4k followers. All of the social justice hashtags in their bio. They seem to have a fascination with sacred texts, linguistics, and other other weird pseudo-spiritual topics. If I could take a seat upon my psychologist armchair, this person has some mental issues. A look into their posts paints a really strange picture. Take a look if you must: https://twitter.com/ARIOSOPHY

Some key takeaways from their profile:
  • Account made in April of 2020, already has 2800 tweets. This person has made at least 15 tweets a day since joining.
  • Within the last 30 minutes they've posted about the "first children of Man," the "Toba Supervolcano," and the Ice Age. They talk with the same flowery language that a lot of schizos like to use. Example in spoiler
    1601854568801.png
  • They begged Digi multiple times for this fanart
    1601854700397.png
  • In the time I've been compiling this they have posted another 16 tweets. When I first looked they were at 2,800

If Turkey Tom does plan to make another video on Digibro, it will be fascinating how people will react this time since the first time he made a video about Digi; he got into many controversies.

He knows deep down that the "art" he produces is garbage, so he calls it abstract and hopes people accept it as experimental outsider art so he won't have to go through the effort of actually getting good at something.
Yeah that kind of perfectly sums up my feelings on his music and his attitude towards it.

Digi-Faggot had cited The Mars Volta as a band of influence to him at one point in one of his Vlogs, and I always thought that was interesting. I'm personally a major fan of the Progressive Rock and Metal Genre, and despite the fact that all of his backing tracks that he bought were for Hip Hop (that i've listened to, i'll admit i've stopped listening to his recent stuff), I do feel like he was still trying to tap into the Progressive Genre of music in the same vein as The Mars Volta, largely due to his "seemingly" intentional reliance on Dissonance. The Guitarist Omar Rodriguez Lopez of El Paso fame is renowned for his expert use of Dissonance, and I personally think he is one of the greatest Guitarists of our time, surpassing even John Frusciante in my opinion.

But I describe Digi-Pedos execution as "seemingly", because it's very clear that he has no actual understanding of what Dissonance actually is. Dissonance in the context of music really just boils down to playing all of the notes outside the main Scale. Notes inside the Scale will sound Harmonious, while notes outside the Scale will sound Dissonant, when contrasted with each other.

The classic example is Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, if you've never listened to The Rite of Spring I would urgently suggest you do, because it was a pivotal moment in music history. It was so famously shocking to the audience at the time that when it was first performed it literally caused a riot.

The Rite of Spring was the first implementation of such extreme levels of Dissonance. More often it would be used in small minor instances; usually in a way that's more familiar to the layman as the odd Sharp or Minor thrown in throughout various phrases to add some tension to an otherwise Harmonious piece.

The Rite of Spring was different, because it just FUCKING HAMMERED the shit out of Dissonance practically throughout the entire piece. But that's the key point, even the original gangster of Dissonance; The Rite of Spring, still used some Harmony. This is because people need Contrast. Just as man cannot tell the good times without the bad, so too can we not tell Dissonance without Harmony. It would be like handing someone a piece of paper with only the color Black on it. You need some White sprinkled in there to make it interesting.

Omar Rodriguez Lopez of El Paso fame understands this perfectly as well. Looking at the track L'Via L'Viaquez we can see Omar starting the first solo off with some Harmony:

And once the stage has been set, and we as the listern have a frame of reference, he leads us into the second solo, which is pure Dissonance:

And now let's compare that to Digi-Troons track "Off My [Semen] Drip":

It's pure Dissonance all of the way through. I actually tried to point this out to him, and I think he removed my comment.

You need that Contrast. And especially as an unproven and "upcoming" artist, you need that Contrast of Harmony first and foremost to prove that you have Competence, and this is speaking to your point BIG_BRAD; that you need to be able to prove to the audience that you understand the basics (in this case Scales), that you understand things technically, before you go off breaking rules, because if you don't you just look like a retard, and it's even worse when you try to pass if off like it's intentional, because you're literally insulting the intelligence of the listener when you do it.

Personally, I think as an Artist one of the most important goals you should be striving towards first is understanding what Cliches are, because the only way to properly avoid a Cliche is to understand what it is. And even better, once you understand the Cliche, you can use it to your advantage, because Cliches are Cliches for a reason: it's because they work when used correctly.

Going back to a point I made in my previous post; with Art as a window or mirror into the soul, Digi-Dunce's music is not only insulting to the listener on an Intellectual level, but on a Characteristic level as well, because he plays it off as intentional. If he were honest in who he was self-conceptually, you could find something of worth in what he's creating.

Henry Darger (who if I remember right worked as a Dishwasher his entire life) is a great example of an outsider with no technical knowledge who created incredible and haunting works within his limitations; relying largely on tracing:
henrydarger.jpg

If you don't have the skills technically you can always fall back on characteristic honesty, and what you create will personally resonate with someone, and your lack of technical skills will suddenly become an asset that will give strength to your voice.

But Digi-ChildFapper will never do that, he will likely continue to offer you a paper filled in with Black and tell you it's genius, insulting not only yourself, but the natural balance and flow of nature and the universe at large.

"I'm an artist", he says, while merely commenting on other's art.
"I'm a musician", he says, while singing entirely out of scale, using other people's music.
"I draw", he says, while worthlessly scribbling nothing onto paper.
"I'm a girl", he says, while stroking his 30 year old chapped and bleeding dick.

Conrad is hubris incarnate.

I disagree. While it's true that much tonal music has the occasional dissonance, “unstable” harmonies that must be “resolved” to consonance, atonal music doesn't have that "resolution" since it doesn't have a central tone. Listen to atonal composers like Schoenberg and you won't see that kind of contrast, and yet their music is pretty fun to listen to when you get used to it.

You can't write music like that accidentally, pretty much all composition majors study Schoenberg's twelve tone technique (the most famous technique to compose atonal music) in college for example. Digibro's problem is that he doesn't know shit about what he is doing.

I thought it was because of the polyphony? Of course, that's a vehicle, you could say, for dissonance.

Regardless, Digi has no musical knowledge and his stance on art through experience is embarrassing. I guess you could say punk rock didn't require a deep knowledge of instrumentation? But those guys (like Iggy Pop) ended up unable to perform their own music 5 years after debut due to mental and physical breakdowns exacerbated by drug use. Even artists like Kara Walker rely on a whole history of artistic tradition against which they create to draw out emotional and intellectual reaction. What seems basic is actually extremely thought out and well-considered. Digi's issue is that he's kind of a narcissist who thinks every task he undertakes can be perfect, if he wants it to be, because he's a misunderstood genius. But the truth is that misunderstood geniuses have to be geniuses in the first place. If not, then they have to train and practice their whole lives.

Looping lifted soundtracks or drawing childishly with a pencil on white paper is not expressive in some primitivistic way of an artistic reckoning. It's just self-fellatio.

Also interestingly enough, the theme of one the characters from Hunter x Hunter is clearly based off the first movement in the Rite of Spring. You can listen and determine for yourself. Since it's such an acclaimed anime, you'd think it would hint to someone like Digi that music is something serious that requires contemplation and knowledge to effect in a worthwhile manner. Hell, you'd expect a musical prodigy like Digi to pick up on this in the first place, which he clearly hasn't since he would make a video about it to dunk on all the unintellectual anitubers out there (because music is his thing, right?). He's just playing at being smart, which is the worst type of sophistry.

Conrad needs to prove that he's a complex mind that was born when the genius planet was in the autism constellation and not like the other girls normies. While he really isn't. That explains most of what he does. He can't really convince anybody that he's intelligent, or knowledegable, or street (or at least internet-)smart so he resorts to cryptic tweets and meaningless "art".

If Bardock Obama and his loyal army of spergy 13 year-olds (who pretend to be 30) couldn't kill Digi, I don't think Internet Drama Man With Cartoon Avatar #156893 is going to do it. Not that I'm opposed to it or anything. I just think it'll be weak tea and not really tread any new ground. Digi embraces every awful characterization of himself without hesistation and seems to be in a constant PR race to the bottom. He has his coterie of degenerate devotees and that's all he seems to need.
