The problem is these content creator 'hubs' like RT find a channel like Funhaus and think they've discovered the car, when in fact they've just found the Ford F-150. A car you can come in any shape, with whatever paint you want. As long as it goes forward quickly when you push on a peddle, people will like it as a car. If you take the V8 out of an F-150 and put it on VW Golf wheels, it's not an F-150 anymore, and no one's gonna buy it.
You can swap out a late night talk show host with another and still get good ratings. YouTube channels are only good as the people who were there when it got big.
It's not far off TV cases tbh - decent hosts are dime a dozen, but keeping the magic of the line up that managed to strike gold? Not so easy. Specially if the people remaining have no clue why the original line up worked, and just assume chucking in some people they like/ are boning/ are "woke" or minority enough makes up for any of that. Worse than a show with a good host ending, is a show where the new season replaces the host with some Pop/Reality star or a no-name with 0 charisma.
It sounds like they did so much promoting of friends and partners, that they are left with not many stand out personalities (bar ones that seem to stand out for the wrong reasons...) - everyone else has been burned by shitty work practices.
This is correct, but there is another point that REALLY needs to be emphasized here.
Don't take compromising pictures of yourself.
Don't make a sex tape.
For any reason.
Ever.
Regardless of who you are doing it for.
Period.
Controlling access to data is important, but you needn't control something that doesn't even exist in the first place. Assume that all work you create on, and transmit though, the Internet is subject to a security breach.
I have never understood why people create this shit if they're not straight up employed in the pornographic film industry (and therefore creating a work intended for general release).
Since cellphones have had cameras, people have had the bright idea of taking snaps to send to their partners/spouses/mistresses. Every time these people are shocked when some fling they are done with then gets upset at being stonewalled or someone convinces them that they should do a kiss and tell while the irons hot.
The celebs/e-celebs do it because they have the power over the people they tend to target. A groupie or most fans will likely be star-struck enough or feel obligated to not get the idol who sent them dick pics in trouble. Because the late night chatter between saucy sexts and pics means you have some sort of connection - why ruin that by telling on them? They are also not big enough for a tell all story in a news article.
That said I assume the issue in these cases is that the intimacy in the marriage is mostly dead. Instead of doing the responsible thing of looking to patch up, let their wifes know their needs, or admit it wasn't working - they instead decide on lazy ways to get their jollies without having to do proper effort.
