Not to overly speculate, but I'm in full agreement. I went through one such fanblog while looking for any relevant Ryan info that we may have missed, and apart from it being absolutely nauseating, it was extremely fucking telling. I was always creeped out by fans who would try and "ship" real people together, so I never ventured into that segment of the RT fanbase, but looking through this Ryan x Meg blog it became really clear that people weren't just making it up. There was pretty transparently some shit going on between them, and it also explains why Gavin always needles on Ryan in videos, why Gavin always "jokes" about Ryan not liking him (which always seemed to unironically be the case), and why Ryan and Meg did SO much stuff together, both in and outside of RT. I'll be amazed if no one ever caught them fucking and was sworn to secrecy or some shit.
A lot of victims of sexual coercion/manipulation tend to feel this way, especially if they weren't "explicitly" being forced into sex. It becomes a weird gray area where you feel anger at the other person for using you, and anger at yourself for allowing yourself to be used. Any therapist or mental health professional worth their salt will tell you that attempting to downplay your experience is an extremely normal response to this sort of thing, and it doesn't change the fact that he did indeed manipulate them, using both pity ("my wife won't fuck me, pwease won't you ride my cock?") and the added power of his celebrity status to do so.
I find it hilarious how many people are buying this. We've proven Ryan to be a liar, time and time again, even up until recently - he explicitly said he never did anything illegal in his "send off" tweet, only for not one, but TWO stories to get dredged up that prove pretty clearly that he did. There's no fucking way his wife was like "sure honey, go fuck some teenagers while I work 12 hour shifts as a vet and then come home to take care of our kids alone while you're off in Japan plowing someone else's girlfriend!" What fucking person do you think would agree to that - to a situation where they literally benefit in no way?
RT celebs make money, but not that much (and this was a recurring "joke" in their company; I remember it particularly from
this RT short, mainly toward the end). I'm willing to bet his wife still made the most money between the two of them, so it's highly unlikely she was financially beholden to him in such a way that agreeing to something this clearly lopsided would have any sort of benefit to her. On top of that, they were already sleeping in separate rooms and he was no longer wearing his wedding ring months before this news broke. It's incredibly naive to think that Ryan is anything but a lying, cheating predator in this situation, and the lengths people are going to in order to try and make excuses for him are just comical. Like, come on guys. The writing's on the wall here.
