Alternatively, like 80% of people who claim this, she's just speaking out of her arse for attention, or pity, or to manipulate. This isn't me denying the possibility it's true either, merely pointing out the reality of the situation which is that far far too many people, young women especially, are incredibly melodramatic and will make claims (read: threats) of suicidal thoughts or self harm seemingly at a moment's notice, and most usually when they *need* something.

I've experienced intrusive suicidal thoughts and suicidal ideation, and I've known several other people who have also gone through such experience. Most of us would be loathe to actually tell those close to us about it, let alone put it out in the public domain with our real identity's attached.

It seems most likely to me that he has an eye for young girls with personality disorders and/or mild anxiety/depression, nothing too extreme hopefully as you don't want them going nuclear on your ass, but just bad enough that you can easily manipulate them by alternating between love/attention bombing and undermining their confidence until they want to fuck you as they now see it as an achievement of types. Unfortunately for him though they're also the types to lose any remaining fondness or loyalty when they find out that he's a liar and that what they had wasn't special in the slightest and that you were a serial fanfucker.

Ryan is a predator, age of the girls irregardless. At a guess he wasn't targeting them for their youth, it's just that youth correlates to the personality types he targets (his seeming disregard of their actual ages should be a massive fucking warning sign nonetheless). That's not to absolve them, especially the older ones, of their own portion of the 'blame' either. They're mostly grown and mature enough to make their own decisions, and it's not like the bloke surprised them by turning up at their door and chloroforming them, instead they almost all met him after making premeditated plans days/weeks/months in advance.

You know, it's extremely fitting now that you mention it. For those that don't know, the Rooster Teeth channel had a short lived animation series called "X-ray and Vav" that was pretty much one big Achievement Hunters in-joke as a cartoon. In it, Ryan plays a reoccurring villain called "The Mad King" who breaks apart Gavin and Ray's friendship through emotional manipulation, and I can't think of a more perfect characterization then that.
