The reason why she's getting the unlimited data plan is because she doesn't have wifi at home, so she uses the internet solely from her phone and keeps running out of data.

She also said that she was considering getting one of those 3g internet wifi plans (with the dongle I'm guessing) for $50 a month, though it wouldn't make sense to have both unlimited data and the wifi plan when her phone can connect to the wifi if she ends up getting the dongle.

Isn't her wifi being cut off for a reason? Does she understand the concept of a punishment? Not much point in asking anyone but her, I'll send some asks tonight.

Concerning roommates...

If she has no friends that live around her, then who the guvk was she planning to take to Disney??

Why is the concept of meeting people or making friends so foreign to Kayla, people are always looking for roommates and as long as you set out ground rules and keep them you don't even have to speak to them all that often.

So did Kayla ever finish @Creamy Mami's callout post or is that atop the pile of crap she's never done like her room? Can one of the anon's ask her? I know @Creamy Mami is on pins and needles waiting to hear how Kayla's going to ruin her life.
I doubt her room is clean I suspect she probably just swept everything under the rug and called it good.

She's probably one of those kids who doesn't understand the concept of punishment. I mean if I were a parent I know I wouldn't be too keen on punishing my kid, but telling them no every now and again is hardly unreasonable. My heart still goes out to Kayla's mom on this one.

Kayla, master of adult romantic relationships

I really don't give a shit why someone's being clingy in a relationship. That is a dealbreaker for me (and a lot of other people) and they are so gone if they can't curb it.

Tumblr doesn't want equality (i.e. those with mental illnesses to be treated no differently), they want to be enabled. If someone is being a douche, then they need to be told that and it needs to be dealt with. That's not ableist: that's normal and that's to be expected.

wow this is pissing me off I need to take a break

While it seems unlikely at this point, I really do hope Kayla changes her toxic mindset and gets better. As scary as it is, the best thing to do to improve one's lot in life is just do things, no matter how scary and daunting they are. Whether those things are going to school, changing jobs/living arrangements, or meeting new people and making new friends.

Seriously, while I understand your plight, there is a fucking rule against this. If you have to spoiler your powerlevel, don't post it at all. Stop talking about yourself, this is a thread about Kayla. There's threads in off-topic for that.
I've been reporting powerlevel posts for a while and even when they're deleted people continue to do this. Stop.

Don't worry Kayla, if your growing trash pile of a room is anything like our Barb's, I'm sure it will produce your very own pet tomgirl to play with any day now!

I wonder if this is what Barb was like as a teenager.

Totally agree with this. A little bit of powerleveling doesn't bother me when it contributes in some way to the discussion (i.e. showing that the person knows what the fuck they're talking about when they make an assertion) but fucking god damn I'm sick of these posts where people just quote Kayla whining and go
Here's my long, boring personal story which is slightly relevant to the discussion but adds nothing at all other than revealing that I like attention!

Does she not realize that people don't like Walmarts because they treat their employees like shit, and squeeze the life out of local businesses? Not because of the poor people? God damn, everything is uhpreshun with this bitch.

I know powerleveling is against the rules, and reporting posts for it is acceptable, but let's not cannibalize each other about it. We're not Something Awful. The powerleveling has more or less been kept in check these last several-dozen pages. Let's keep this about Kayla.

More excuses for the Excuses God.

I don't know if she's being a complete moron, willfully ignorant, or some ratio of the two, but just because she owns a First Act guitar from Walmart doesn't mean she restricted to Walmart's awful choice in guitar supplies. Even the shittiest music shops carry guitar strings, they're not hard to find. Hell, you can even buy one single string so you're not paying full price for a full set. If she had even an ounce of responsibility, she would shop online for them, and have a much better range of options regarding size. But who am I kidding? She'll never learn, just make complex layers of excuses to hide her own fault in her failings.

There's a saying that goes "If everyone around you seems to be an asshole, you're actually the asshole." Kayla will probably never learn that a lot of her problems with IRL encounters stem from her abrasive personality. She has time to fix that, but with the Excuse Train running without brakes, she'll just end up like one of those old ladies living in the suburbs complaining about children being too noisy and constantly peeking through her mini blinds to spy on the neighbors.

I’m starting to think you people are just reading things the way you want to make me look bad.

Dude, you're making yourself look bad with the things you spout. We aren't making you say these dumb and immature things, you are. There is a thread about you not because we Kiwis are bullies. There is a thread about you because you are a bilely fascinating trainwreck.

Who knows where all those weens and trolls come from, though.

It's not unheard of that an exclusive-ish upper middle class town would aim to limit the presence of national chains, though. Years ago, a town I live near made a huge fuss about whether or not to let a Dunkin Donuts pop up because, to my understanding, a) they were worried about it sticking out too much in the quaint atmosphere and b) they were worried about jamming up the traffic in the town center. It was built in the end, but it was a pretty rare exception.
So I kind of understand where Kayla is coming from. It's not all bullshit, but even living in a prissy town doesn't stop anyone from driving the 5-20 miles to get to a town with a tolerable commerce center. I've heard that Texas is densely populated in some areas, with long stretches of nothing, but I'd assume that Katy, being a wealthier town, isn't nearly as isolated as it could be.

Here, most likely. Either directly or a stray Tumblr follower obsessively refreshing the thread.

I'm not going to namedrop, but this whole ball starting rolling too-fast-too-early when a certain member here was sending thinly-veiled asks to Spergtrapp directing her to the Farms in some bizarre attempt to score cool points from our cool kid's clubhouse. It probably would have been a much slower burn before that thread was discovered by it's namesake if that didn't happen.

Having said that, I can't get upset at the delicious domino effect that eventually resulted in this thread and :spudking:

We only wanted a few pints of milk, but the cyclone we got instead has certainly been refreshing.

Those are the joys of living in a suburb? Though I wonder how Kayla would handle city life. Would all the constant people around her and lack of personal space make her freak out? She gets triggered and intimidated over loud noises and too many people around her, doesn't she?

But I thought Mrs. Waller cut down Kayla's wi-fi.
