Ralph's voice reminds me more & more of CWC's. In Chris' case, tone-deafness, autism, & increased long-term isolation have warped his voice into the whiny, high-pitched shrieking we know today. In Ralph's case, I think isolation may play a part--he doesn't have any friends or people he actually physically talks to outside of his show. Thus, the only time he speaks for an extended period of time is in his "show voice." Kind of like how Doug Walker once had a normal speaking voice, but a decade plus of literal shrieking as the Nostalgia Critic overrode it. Shmorky, before he fucked off the Internet, also had a permanent voice change, affecting a Mickey-Mouse-on-helium voice for so long that he can no longer speak normally if he tried. (Assuming he isn't dead.) Gator will occasionally revert to his old voice, but I think it's a matter of time before his aping of Jim becomes permanent.

Anyway, that's my theory. Never talking outside of drunk screeching on his show has turned his voice into a permanent drunk screech. I wonder if his slurring will become permanent, too.

His voice has been a debated topic for a while now, but I think it's pretty clear. His voice has always been whiny and high pitched, he's just not hiding it anymore. Years ago, when he didn't show his face he would speak slower and deeper to sound more tough. But the jig has been up for years now so he just goes the opposite way now, getting more wound up and higher pitch. I do agree he sounds a bit like CWC now, but mainly in his agitation. As much as I like shitting on Ethan, he doesn't really have the full on autism voice, just a tard who gets too worked up.

Honestly, in the beginning I thought the child's best chances would be with the Vickers since the poor kid has a fat alcoholic father and a batshit insane mother. But, after what has happened with the Vickers talking a big game when it came it the gunt, only to retreat with their tails between their legs at the mention of pregnancy, I don't think they'd be much better for the kid. If the Vickers were unable to properly parent Faith by setting, and sticking to, boundaries with her, this behavior of theirs could only worsen as they get older. Then, once again, the cycle ends up repeating itself and there's another out of control kid running around, putting the family through unnecessary stress and drama. Though, I can see why some may argue this is a better fate than being raised by the gunt and his insane child bride, I just don't think it's good either way.
