This does remind me a bit of that Austin Jones case a few years back, and that little bitch caught himself a 10 year federal conviction for CP for basically doing exactly what Ryan’s was doing, minus the actual physical sex. I know Ryan is the thread's whipping boy right now and we're just agreeing with any accuser that comes forward right now, but this accuser is garbage. They met at 17, he didn't even start to speak to her until she was 18, and her screenshots mostly look like her being a needy attention whore. "Oh, I need money :'c oh no I don't want charity, I don't want you to fix the problem, I just want you to tell me how bad you feel about it and pay attention to me!" and then she's supposedly left "sobbing in the arms of a friend for ever doubting him" when Ryan denies anything malicious with her. At least with the evidence posted, the only one I see being emotionally manipulative here is Katie.
I don't dispute he'd have done her if she gave him half a chance or the rest of the accusations other than the one with zero proof provided, but this one is is nothing more than a girl going "ooh, me too, me too, I'm important, too!" - it's that inevitable parade of people going "I had interactions vaguely similar to what's getting all the attention right now, let's jump into the public eye and get attention, too!"

Ryan wakes up every morning feeling a little sicker, looking a little more pallid, a little less rested. He looks at his gray face in the mirror and slowly drags his clothes on, dry shaves and goes downstairs to his distant and muted family. Laurie doesn't make eye contact as she heads out to work, he asks his son if he wants to go to the park, his son doesn't answer him he just silently continues his colouring book and mumbles something non-committal. Ryan stares out of the window into the glare of the sunlight and eyes the rope swing hanging from the tree branch.

I think there's something else to be considered regarding young people being okay with having an affair with a married man: a lot of kids in the past decade have been pretty much raised by the internet (you don't create a parasocial relationship with a middle-aged manchild playing videogames online if you have parents remotely interested in what you're doing and offering you guidance), and there's this huge push online to normalize non-monogamy, to make it seem like it's only fair to let your partner fuck other people if you can't satisfy them sexually. They might have believed they weren't doing anything wrong, and Ryan clearly took advantage of that.
To the parents out there, please take an interest on what your children are doing, teach values to them, don't assume they were born knowing right from wrong, give them things to do offline. Otherwise, there's a good chance they might become easy prey for groomers and end up either trooning out or whoring themselves to creepy men.

I completely disagree. If anything, Katie is the most compelling accuser because she makes it clear that, even when the other person wasn't a willing sexual partner, Ryan would STILL find a way to be manipulative and to try and get sex out of the equation.
First, as she states, the girl Kayla who was being bullied in Ryan's server was her best friend, and Ryan knew that - yet he was constantly telling Katie that Kayla was a psycho and crazy and all that bullshit to drive a wedge between them. We know that Ryan did that with every girl he was fucking with to give himself plausible deniability when confronted about them, and he also knew that Katie had an abusive home life and few other friends she could vent to, so he was actively trying to isolate these two from one another to get sex from both of them (and in Kayla's case, it worked).
Secondly, there's nothing wrong with Katie having vented to Ryan about her life and financial problems; she thought they were friends, and since their first "real" conversation (that she mentions) was her venting about her family life, it's clear there was a precedent for the subject. So I highly doubt she was trying to extort money out of him, especially seeing as she turned him down repeatedly when he offered.
Financial abuse is a real thing. I wouldn't go so far as to call this that, but what Ryan did is DEFINITELY financial manipulation and sexual coercion. Every time she turned down his offer to send money by saying she didn't want charity, he would tell her that she could make it up to him by fucking him. His end game was obviously to convince her that she owed him sex for taking his money - money she repeatedly refused to accept. That's why he had to strongarm her into taking it by threatening to cut off contact completely, knowing that he was her only support system. Notice that it wasn't until she got away from her abusive house and moved in with a friend that Ryan suddenly cut all contact - because he realized that, with her being in a healthier place, it would be even harder to manipulate her into fucking him.
It's honestly mindboggling to me that even now, people are trying to find ways to make this the fault of someone other than Ryan. Like, what's hard to understand here? He's a creep, a predator, and a clear fucking manipulator. He specifically chose mentally ill girls to take advantage of. He's one suit of armor away from being a damn Game of Thrones character with how shit of a person he is.

Vic hired a prostitute. He's ashamed of it, but what he admits to is considerably less bad that what he's accused of and what Ryan actually did. Vic not only seems smarter, but the fact he hired a prostitute actually makes the accusations against him seem less credible, and not more.
Either Ryan genuinely likes them young and dumb, or these girls are cheaper than a hooker. I dunno what the going rate for a prostitute is these days, since I don't avail myself of such services. But if it's less than the couple of hundred bucks he was tossing around to these girls, he's a fucking idiot. If it's more, he's a cheapskate.
