I'm all but convinced that Meg knew, if she wasn't one of his side pieces herself - her tweet is so fucking suspicious. She doesn't have a negative thing to say about Ryan, and the crux of the tweet is "trust me dude I had NO idea lol."

I completely disagree. If anything, Katie is the most compelling accuser because she makes it clear that, even when the other person wasn't a willing sexual partner, Ryan would STILL find a way to be manipulative and to try and get sex out of the equation.
First, as she states, the girl Kayla who was being bullied in Ryan's server was her best friend, and Ryan knew that - yet he was constantly telling Katie that Kayla was a psycho and crazy and all that bullshit to drive a wedge between them. We know that Ryan did that with every girl he was fucking with to give himself plausible deniability when confronted about them, and he also knew that Katie had an abusive home life and few other friends she could vent to, so he was actively trying to isolate these two from one another to get sex from both of them (and in Kayla's case, it worked).
Secondly, there's nothing wrong with Katie having vented to Ryan about her life and financial problems; she thought they were friends, and since their first "real" conversation (that she mentions) was her venting about her family life, it's clear there was a precedent for the subject. So I highly doubt she was trying to extort money out of him, especially seeing as she turned him down repeatedly when he offered.
Financial abuse is a real thing. I wouldn't go so far as to call this that, but what Ryan did is DEFINITELY financial manipulation and sexual coercion. Every time she turned down his offer to send money by saying she didn't want charity, he would tell her that she could make it up to him by fucking him. His end game was obviously to convince her that she owed him sex for taking his money - money she repeatedly refused to accept. That's why he had to strongarm her into taking it by threatening to cut off contact completely, knowing that he was her only support system. Notice that it wasn't until she got away from her abusive house and moved in with a friend that Ryan suddenly cut all contact - because he realized that, with her being in a healthier place, it would be even harder to manipulate her into fucking him.
It's honestly mindboggling to me that even now, people are trying to find ways to make this the fault of someone other than Ryan. Like, what's hard to understand here? He's a creep, a predator, and a clear fucking manipulator. He specifically chose mentally ill girls to take advantage of. He's one suit of armor away from being a damn Game of Thrones character with how shit of a person he is.
