Good fucking god. There are no words I can put to how horrific this exchange is. I can barely imagine what kind of a hold he had on all these girls that even now she feels so emotionally beholden to him. It's really scary to think about.

I genuinely don't understand how you're coming to this conclusion where we've basically had it all but confirmed that Ryan is a serial emotional abuser and took advantage of the mentally vulnerable in his conquest for mediocre sex. Why is it such a shock to you that Katie is just as much a victim as girls like Tess and Mish? Her story lines up with theirs, she's the only one to NOT have helped him cheat on his wife, and she made it clear in her doc why she was so fixated on him - because she had an abusive family and looked up to Ryan as a father figure, and obviously, even in spite of the shitty stuff he was doing, he was still better than her actual family.
Ryan's literally saying here that she would have been a prostitute without him to guilt trip and gaslight her, even now, and you're still taking his side? Do you honestly think that's something a person with good intentions would say? Unless you're being deliberately obtuse, it really is not hard to put this together.
I'll be honest, the "power imbalance" shit has always seemed silly to me. If the girls that sent him nudes were legal adults, and he flirted back, I see no problem there. For example: say Scarlett Johansson was hitting on me, and I banged her, but regretted it later. If I were to turn around and say "there was a power imbalance! She was just so famous, I couldn't say no!" People would reply "you're a grown man, take some responsibility for your actions." Now, if ScarJo were blackmailing me, or extorting me, then sure, that's different, but an adult willingly banging somebody they're a fan of, I take no issue with. That's not to excuse Ryan's behaviour, because he clearly lied and manipulated these girls, but just a "power imbalance" because one party is famous and the other isn't is meaningless to me
Okay, but if ScarJo was hitting on you, she would be a grown ass woman (at 35), and you very likely would be around that same age range or not much younger/older. You would not have an age disparity of 20 years with the younger partner not even being old enough to rent a car. THAT is the power imbalance, and the celebrity status only adds to that and makes it worse. Don't give him the benefit of the doubt. Ryan knew exactly what he was doing. Have you not noticed that none of these girls who've come out have been older than 25 at the time of their encounters with Ryan? That's not a coincidence; that's a pattern.

Even if you're losing your virginity, it really shouldn't be more than an uncomfortable feeling and a small amount of blood, not violent tearing and profuse bleeding. So it's honestly extra disturbing, because it takes quite a lot of roughness and improper preparation to tear someone's vagina for real - i.e. he's not making her wet at all, he's just shoving it in and going at it.
