The 7th one isn't what I'd call a victim, but her coming forward does provide even more evidence of Ryan being a sex pest and a serial cheater.

For real, mods are some of the dick-suckiest people out there who have ended up being involved in all sorts of coverups for all sorts of fandoms. They are the thought police of their communities and will not let you slander anyone, even if it's genuine.

The yogscast had a case like this a year or two ago (though no where near as bad) and I hopped in their community discords and forums to see what it was about. Their mods were apologizing left, right, and center, for ignoring complaints about some of the youtubers. Turns out they weren't just ignoring complaints, they were shutting that shit down and continued to shut it down until explicitly told to allow the community to discuss it. If I remember correctly, the only reason it even became a community controversy is because one of the girls emailed the CEO or tweeted him or some shit and he went on full damage control mode instantly. While that situation is very different and I think overblown for what it was, I'll give props to their CEO for taking responsibility personally and giving out his work email for other victims in that case.
Mods are fucking losers 99% of the time who will do anything for those they "work" for. It genuinely blows my mind the level of servitude people are willing to voluntarily put themselves into all for a pat and the back.

This isn't just raw janny hate, there's really something weird to me about community mods like that and it probably has to do with the devotion they need to demonstrate to even be considered for the roles.

I get what you're saying, but it doesn't work like that IRL. Johns get busted for offering undercover cops cash for sex (as in "hey babe, how about $100 for a quickie?") or showing up in a hotel room with a wad of cash after some brief texting to make arrangements with an undercover cop. That's solicitation. "Hey imma pay for you to fly out here so we can boink while you're here" isn't.

Nobody's going to read through these texts and decide after the fact "oh, hey, that was prostitution, let's get 'em!" and actually spin up charges over it. What Ryan did in these cases was definitely tit-for-tat and it's absolutely clear he was expecting sexual favors in return for the money he gave them, but that's more "scummy manipulation and pressure" than it is "solicitation."

He's still a fucker for doing it though. It's thanks to assholes like him that people (especially women) are so reluctant to accept help these days, even from people they trust, because of the potential strings that come with it. Both times I've given long-time friends money to help them out of a tough spot, I've had to jump through hoops to convince them I wasn't just trying to get in their pants.

Different Megs. This latest accuser just happens to be named Meg and was a mod for Ryan on Youtube. She is claiming that means she "worked" for him but I imagine she did it all for free so that doesn't really apply. Meg Turney was the one being discussed earlier in the thread and made that disingenuous tweet, she used to work at Rooster Teeth along side Ryan and spent years flirting with him on and off camera.
