China is a country that many in the West distrust, especially since the rise of WuFlu. This however doesn't stop there being a bunch of useful idiots/paid shills defending a communist shithole like China.
This is where the Wumaodang (五毛党) come in. In English translates as the 50 Cent Party. Named so due to rumors that some of these commentators are paid ¥0.50/post by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
One of the most prominent wumao is an ex-Scientologist named "Nathan Rich", who also calls himself " the Hotpot King" (火锅大王). By praising the Chinese regime, he has amassed nearly 500k subscribers on YouTube, 640k followers on Sina Weibo and over a million on Bilibili.
His main schtick is saying how great the PRC is and how evil and fascist America is.

...sperging about how Hong Kong is the property of China and acting like the HK protests of 2019 are like the BLM/Antifa rioters,...
...the Uyghurs of Xinjiang are doing a-ok,...
...and that the WuFlu was created by the filthy American imperialists.
I honestly could make a thread devoted entirely to Rich as well. But he is not the only wumao. There's a boomer Canuck named Gweilo 60 with a far more modest following. His style of videos are more reminiscent of pre-2018 SerpentZA videos, except far more pro-China and sticking to his bubble in Nanning, in southern China.
