TGWTG The Spoony One / Spoony / Noah Antwiler and Rachel Baker / @RaeAngel07 - The touching romance between a washed-up videogame reviewer throwing a decade-long pity party and his delusional Canuck stalker. #weaknotsick #donttellmehowtosulk

Remembering the Dragon that created this drama saga (she is the one on the right). Warthog still has a chance, right?

To be honest, when the players tell me what they are wearing, I don't even pay attention. "I have a green hat with a purple feather. My shirt is fine muslin, brown with white embroidery. My pants are..." I don't care.

What's your AC? Does a 13 hit?

I don't care if you are dressed as a wizard. In the start game the kobolds will go after who is in front. In the end game the dragon will go after the party leader.

What clothes the player is wearing makes no difference in the game. I've seen many campaigns where players who have pets or familiars completely forget they exist. How would we remember what clothes they have on?

Yeah, have your wizard wear an outfit to blend in. Spoony would just meta game and have the enemies attack the wizard anyways.
He wasn't talking about their characters though, he was talking about enemy characters in a "reverse D&D" game where players run a dungeon. In that case, if the DM doesn't give you a way to know characters' classes, presumably knowing what they're wearing is useful to guess. Attacking the wizard first is till dumb advice. Everyone knows you attack the medic first, which in this case means the cleric.

It was in the thieves world campaign.

Part 1
Part 2

I remember that story as one of the very few "we all had fun" stories. Compared to the "I made sure no one else had fun because I'm smart".
I admit that I didn't listen to the video in a long time, so my memoryisn't perfect. It was a story about how the players started working for the big bad guy. One player threw his acid flask at the BBG by mistake. This made them run afowl of each other. And then the campaign turned into an escalation of vengeful acts between them.
At one point the BBG fucked a woman in her eye socket, killing her, in a public place to rile the players to show themselves.
I know it's fucked up, but I remember it as a shocking morality event horizon moment like it was supposed to be.
It conflicts with the morality grandstanding and preaching about how rape must never be used in anything ever. I'm not sure if I've seen Spoony go on one of those. So that's one point of hypocrisy that he doesn't have. That's 1 to 6,913,757. Congrats spoony on getting that one point.

I remember that did take way too long in the vid going like "I know rape is awful and I do not condone it". I remember it because I remember rolling my eyes and be like "those characters are murderers! I get that they are not role models! You didn't apologise for the killing, right? Do you condone murder?!"

Anyway, you can watch the whole thing if you want. I don't think that was one of spoony's great lolcow kind of vidoes. At most it shows that he is willing to go further than most for cheap shock value, but that's not a great reason to get lols, and we already knew he branded himselfe as the shock value guy.

I always thought it was weird that Spoony had an apparently graphic eye rape / murder in his tabletop RPG. I mean, just imagine trying to have a good time with your friends around a table with some beers, and Spoony starts going on about a guy jamming his dick in a woman's eye. Would makes things pretty uncomfortable, I imagine.

On that note I kind of like to imagine a party of evil PCs with a Spoony-esque commander ambushing and murdering some poor impoverished vagrant fuck on the assumption he's a wizard because he has a single set of clothes due to being poor.

I think there's a scene in the book "Grunts" where the orc protagonists force an old man to give up his walking stick and crawl under the assumption that an old man in robes with a staff MUST be a wizard with a magic stick.

This is highly dependant on the game and the players. Some people like to just hang around with their friends, some like to put on a serious face and spend hours talking about the depth of their characters. As long as everyone gets what kind of game they are getting into, and all have fun, then you're not playing it wrong.
From what I get in this campaign, they had a crapsack world and dark themes to begin with, they all knew that the BBG is a rapist (he's from a book series, he rapes in it), and they got into a vengence cycle kind of story. A shock value "I can't believe he went there" is not so out of place in this kind of game.

I can't believe I'm defending Spoony, but this seems like the one time he miraculously didn't fucked up.

Don't worry, though. There's still PLENTY of material to bash Spoony with in his other videos.
