Friendly reminder that Joe bragged about abusing his power in a live interview that was unremarkable until it wasn't. That's where we were until the past couple of years, someone like Joe could say this openly and be applauded. The only reason this was ever brought back up is the specific reference of "quid pro quo" regarding Trump which incidentally highlighted Joe's very blatant quid pro quo with our tax dollars.
Pardon the video but I'm too lazy to get the original and it's really just here for context, I imagine everyone is familiar by now.

Joe is dirty and so are many others, none of them operate in a vacuum. I've been thinking for awhile now part of this radical crackdown against "the right" in social media and elsewhere is as an extreme protective measure to prevent things getting out of hand.
Fortunately it's entertaining and fortunately people are fully on edge thanks to Trump (whether you like him or not) so they instantly archive/screenshot everything.

I know this post was a bit of a tangent but to reel it back in, I think nothing major will come of this for awhile since the elections will increasingly take over the news cycle and Twitter/FB will reel it in a bit to get off any Congressional radars, all while continuing to do the censorship you can safely assume they've been ramping up for years. Google can't control its algorithm. Its hilarious watching the oscillation with Google News. The New York Post is getting absolutely slammed with traffic which is telling the dumb AI to shove it to the front of the pack on the US news trending. All the while they desperately try and push it back down. So it vanishes for a quarter hour before it slams back to the top again. Helped by the fact that the Post is machine gunning articles about this onto the internet so Google is constantly forced to manually try and memory hole them. The powers that be are clearly terrified to pull the final card in their hand. Specific Range ban from listing articles from nypost.com.

If they do that, shit hits the fan. They are already catching fire from US Senators demanding to know why the memory hole furnace is blowing so much smoke. If they range ban nypost.com on top of that this will go thermonuclear. Its also clear that while their front line mods have power to try and delist shit manually, the nuke button remains in the hands of the executives. Which itself presents interesting questions about prior times certain "problematic" material got range banned only for a backtrack and sacrificial low level employee offered up as payment.
