Depending on how you set your email client, you can save emails locally. I'm waiting on the NYP to release the technical data, which will prove 100% they are real.

NYP seems pretty assmad over how they've been treated, I think theyll drip drip drip the story out over the next ~week to get maximum denunciations from the various commissars and for the finale release the technical data.
