This is the same Nate Silver that thinks Biden is ahead in Georgia by the way.

The cognitive dissonance is astounding.

But yeah something is happening on twitter, they burned all the site allegedly for "irregularities on twitter apis"
When it comes back, odds are they've unperson'd Trump? They trying to cover up some massive story about to break? Does Biden have the coof and they're trying to run the clock out on his town hall? The possibilities are endless when they've legitimized every conspiracy theory possibility in just 48 hours.

I still remember 2016 vividly when they thought Hillary had the entire Rust Belt on lock, plus Florida and North Carolina and that she was going to flip states like Arizona and Georgia.

That's what you get for putting to much stock in public polling.

And while he hasn't taken any direct action to combat the return of the red menace, he's made them all drop their masks and expose themselves. The news has been exposed as fabricated. Democrats are now openly seen for the socialists they are. Antifa is recognized as the brownshirts they've always been. Silicon Valley has been exposed as Big Brother. The traitors in hiding in consumer media (video/tabletop games, comics, print media, and film and television) have all flipped their wigs and lost their audiences.
I'm going to say the big G word.

Gamergate.

That's when all the media subversion started to unravel. Before GG, the news media were masters of spinning the truth, of hiding inconvenient facts. The bias and manipulation were always there, but they were subtle. There were dissident voices in the media, but the narrative tide always turned against them and they existed to be graceful losers. There was the illusion that the news represented a variety of perspectives. Trying to point out the bias was like trying to grab wisps of smoke. You could point to some individual cases where the media marched in lockstep, but they always had a hundred what-abouts ready to counter those accusations.

And then Zoe Quinn came along, plying her BPD starfucker trade. But she wasn't doing it in Hollywood, where it's been an institution since the first film companies took root there. She was one of the first to try doing it in the game industry, and with no competition was wildly successful. So successful, through a string of lucky breaks, that she was able to forge 1st and 2nd-degree social links to many of the leading people in the media.

She had a bad breakup. Her boyfriend posted dirty laundry online. She cried to her allies for help, and help they did.

The gamer subculture was bombarded with vitriol usually reserved for national political contests. The news outlets unanimously blasted the evil sexist dudebros. And a curious thing happened. The shapers of public opinion dispelled their illusions of objectivity and diversity of opinion in order to wage war on a bunch of internet nerds who didn't care if they were smeared as bigots.

Since then they've never been able to get the magic back. It's clear to everyone that the media has an agenda. It's clear to people on the right and clear to people on the left, many of whom take personal offence when someone says "don't trust the media, man." And the strangest thing is that the media doesn't seem to understand how much they lost when they let the mask drop in 2015.

Even if Biden wins I doubt the old days of a "neutral, unbiased" press are coming back. That was the most powerful mind control tool of all and they threw it away.

The worst part about 2020 for me is not finding out with COVID and social media how fast people will take our rights away. I think people have known that for decades if not longer.

2020 has really shown me not only how fast a lot of regular citizens will give up their rights, but that they DEMAND that rights be taken away from them.

Speaking of town hall that's supposed to happen at 8 PM EST, are people sure these "undecided" voters won't just be a whole bunch of leftists who hate Trump and throw at him Kafka questions? He's going to have to be really careful not to fall into that trap because you can imagine there will be a whole lot of them.

Could be great if it turns out well, but it's NBC, so the risks are much higher than say, doing a town hall with Joe Rogan.

wtf is working if you're not logged in?
yeah looks like you can go to peoples pages but the system that shows tweets and creates a timeline and users notations is broken.
But considering looking through your timeline is 90% of what you do on Twitter, it's not good.
I go by [local news outlet] and see their tweets?

Are both of them at 8 or are they back to back?
