I can picture 10 years from now, Amber will be almost 2 decades into the exact same cycle and the same people will still be paying her to do it, and then crying when it repeats. It’s insane. I would have an extremely hard time finding a doctor who would ok with that surgery.

One of the few ways to get a hysterectomy done, at least in the United States, that I’m aware of is if you have a serious health condition and your reproductive organs are causing the problems like if you have cancer for instance.

I worked with a woman who would get uterine fibroids so bad that she would have to go in every 2 to 3 months and have them scraped out which is a very painful procedure.

She was in her 30s and already had three kids, she wasn’t married. Even then she had hell trying to get a hysterectomy eventually she did but it took her about eight months and four different doctors to get approval for it.

You have to have a long documented history of any illnesses to be approved for SSI and social security. The government does not just hand out checks. I don't know where people are getting this idea that the government loves to spend money. Most people are usually denied the first time and have to file an appeal. The whole process usually takes a year or more.

Hysterectomies are not used as birth control anymore. Haven’t been for decades. There are very real and very serious consequences for doing so. Ablation, tubal ligation, those things are what Becky was talking about.
