First of all. Im pretty sure he did that before, being a big streamer.

Also, he is rocking a better version of dps's facial hair and im sorry but looks ridicolous on him.

EDIT:

Thats pretty hypocratic coming from mr handholding. Just angers me. How can a person be like this?

oh no it's Philary!

I guess shroud agrees with dsp on streamers/YouTubers getting early releases

Good damn who the fuck cares? This is how it's always been, since the first game was developed: some people get to play it early. From the developer, to the tester, to their friends and family, to the media, this is just how things fucking work. This whole "eVeRyOnE sHoUlD gEt iT aT tHe sAmE tImE" bullshit is nonsense and literally can't happen with a game that big. There will always be someone playing it before the masses.

And you know who the only people who bitch about this are? Streamers. Gee, it's almost as if they have something to gain from everyone getting it at the same time.

Edit: Imagine how mocked someone would be if they said "people shouldn't be able to see movies early and make reviews of them!".

to the tester, to their friends and family
Game testers are made to sign really strict NDA's where they're probably not even allowed to mention what game their testing. Even stating your under NDA can be a violation of the NDA.

Nah it's not going to friends and families at least it shouldn't be due to NDAs.

Ugh, he's such a fat retard. The article doesn't have spoilers for a game that hasn't come out yet. The article is a 'catching you up on the story so far' article, but Phil is really so fucking stupid he thinks it's a 'here's the entire story of the game that we're exclusively leaking' article. It does have some spoilers from a game from 2018 that this one is a sort of follow-up to, and warns you of those spoilers in the first paragraph.

Phil is too dumb to know how dumb he is, so we get Phil misinterpreting headlines and REE'ing about something that isn't happening.
The level of shut-in Phil exhibits is insane, but luckily he's such a gigantic pussy he's been keeping himself locked in a padded room on his own.

He is literally one of these re.tards that only reads the title and subtitle of the article,he goes on for about two minutes getting giga triggered about an article he has not even read.

I'm an ex-tester. True, the NDA's are insane. There's usually always a clause, in the ones I signed anyway, which state you're not allowed to work for another studio until 6 months after you leave. It's never been enforced and everyone ignores it, but it's there. They do it to protect the IP so you can't take ideas to another company. Lots of crazy stuff like that.

There are sections saying you're not allowed to (phrasing?) disclose details of the project. It's not strict. You're allowed to talk about games you're working on so long as they've already been publicly announced. Obviously only details which have been released and legitimately confirmed. Which is nearly nothing, even when half a dozen trailers have been put out. I never did and never met anyone who did, can't imagine the amount of harrassment you'd get for the smallest of useless outdated information. Might still have a contract or 2 laying around in storage...

There's very much a pecking order too. The public are second from bottom. Everywhere I worked, we hated the public. Detested them. Avoided at all times. From their worthless opinions, to their endless complaining over every single feature and stupid repetitive service desk tickets twe have to respond to. How about instead of giving a game 0 stars because it doesn't work on your 1 machine, out of the 2 million copies sold, you just die. Fix verified! The only people worse are journalists. They're incompetent, uneducated, petty, vile, lying scum, after any freebies they can get for a good review... and still give you a bad review. Remember it's not dev teams who ask for your opinions, it's marketing teams running community engagement programs. The public are stupid, they'll buy whatever we make <insert _every_game_name_here> even if it gets mediocre reviews.

Working in the games industry makes you a very angry person. Not a 10 year old throwing controllers angry, legitimate ripping open your lower torso and punching your insides angry.

Pro-tip: If you know someone's studio E-mail address and want some inside information, E-mail them during the Christmas or summer periods. The stupider people put their project codenames, actual project names and contact details of other studio employees in the out of office responses. I've even known someone to put milestone dates in theirs. What a derp. Works particularly well on managers and producers. Actual employees don't even bother with OOO mails, mostly because we're never out of the office.

I guess I'm thinking about it more from the standpoint of an indie developer, but frankly that's all made pointless by the media getting it specifically so they can report on it. Again: Anyone crying about this is just being a bitch because they don't get it early too.

Phil said the Miles Morales article was a waste of everyone's time. He said he does his best to create 'meaningful' content.
I agree. Why would I want to read something about the background of a comic book character ahead of his game appearance?
I would rather hear about the features and effectiveness of a $40 alarm clock purchased by a man who said he couldn't afford his groceries, after his overpriced luxury $100 alarm clock died in a power surge. I'm so thankful he got up on time/late so that I could get that meaningful content. Changed my life.

So we all know that Phil instantly brings up and denies any theory he's actually prepared to to disprove, such as when he only brought up the water cooler whale-call after the Vest Streak ended. And he silences any mention of theories that he can't disprove, such as WWE Champions. We know he regularly checks out this website because it's the last vestige of relevancy he has on the internet.
So how come he's never addressed the "staying up getting drunk until ungodly hours" meme that's always brought up here? It would be easy for him to address it. "Fucking idiots thinking I have time for booze when my schedule is so fucking busy", or something along those lines.
It can't be true that you really are tilting back the gin so frequently, are you Phil? Talk to me, buddy.

What a retard.

So what if some people/regions get it a bit earlier than you do? Don't movies release earlier in some parts of the world than in others?

This is such a first world problem and why most streamers are bitchboys.

Besides DSP has a problem with people getting advanced copies of games (a perk he enjoyed for years), not that games are released earlier in certain parts of the world.

He hardly ever drinks except on occasion. Like when he goes to the liquor store to "check if they sell water". Or on his one day off. Or after a hard day of work he might have a couple drinks to relax. Or when Kat makes margaritas to go with dinner. Hardly ever.

His first match of the night on street fighter immediately reminds me why he’s such a faggot when it comes to fighting games. This is the guy who’s complains about every single modern fighting game being dumbed down and being about pattern play....and in his first match of the night he locks a guy down in the corner by rotating the same 3 moves....SF2 truly the pinnacle of fighting games that only the biggest of brains can play. These idiots kids with their patter play could never hope to be good at this dinosaur of gaming.

For those who wonder what 'unironic' fans are like. His viewers and detractors are two sides of the same coin.

It's basically the same stupid view on Phil that people like WingsOfRedemption and ReviewTechUSA have. "He's a nice guy, it's just he sometimes does stupid things".

I say it's a stupid view because everyone here knows that, if you learn your DSP lore, you know that he is a greedy scammer. He's not well-intentioned, and he's certainly not a kind person at all.

Sure, he's not Onision level of crazy, but that doesn't make him a good person.
