Maybe another celebrity with extreme media exposure/experience could do it by just copying his campaign strategy; ex The Rock. However I think it requires mainstream media to be tacitly against you for that 24/7 media coverage.

Offering up The Rock as an example of someone who could try Trump's strategy only reinforces my view that Trump's strategy only works with Trump.
For one thing, The Rock's image is much too clean. It has to be someone who is already dirtied up so that 24/7 antagonistic media coverage does nothing. Trump has survived the media onslaught only because controversy has already been priced in to public opinion.

The Rock could do a heel turn on something the media loves to hate, such as running a right wing populist campaign, calling them out on their hypocrisy, or wondering why Epstein was suicided.

Going from class-based politics to identity politics and open borders is a clever way to appeal to both sets of people.
You have to wonder how sustainable this is in the long run though. They've built a coalition out of a bunch of groups who despise each other.
If I had a vote in the US I'd vote Republican all down the ballot but I'm not convinced by the John Doyle theory that amnesty means Democrats in power forever. I think their coalition would come apart and that would allow the Republicans or some other party back in at some point. Or the USA would fracture into Red and Blue states, kind of like the EU. Or the hard left would crash the economy because Modern Monetary Theory caused stagflation or even hyperinflation and the electorate would vote for fucking anyone but the people in power.
A bunch of scumbags can give themselves a permanent majority and ignore the electorate for a while but sooner or later it all catches up with them. In fact, Trump is an example of that. Neo-liberals had a hegemonic control over everything but it's clear the electorate worked out a way to deploy their votes to stop them getting their man Jeb! as GOP candidate and then stop Hillary from winning even though the media told them it wouldn't work.
The election is Serious Fucking Business but I think it's bogus to say that if Trump loses it is The End Of America. America has survived worse shit than President Biden. Much worse.
