Chantal: "I've been really sick lately, so I'm getting tested for Covid."
Chantal an hour later: "Stop spreading lies about me having Covid you assholes! I only have a mild sore throat!"
Fucking lol, this is pretty much the exact same thing as the diabeetus (sorry, "high blood sugar") flip-out.
She mentions an ER trip in late September but on doing a quick search I couldn't find mention of this in the thread (I used the search function rather than manually going back, so it may have missed something as I haven't completely mastered the function). I guess this is related to the upcoming colonoscopy, but I had assumed that she went to her family doc who then referred her for the procedure with a specialist? I can hardly ever bear to watch her lives (even reading the transcripts that masochistic farmers produce can be too much for me), so it could be that she gave more details in one of those and I missed it.
For what it's worth (not much), I have felt that for the past week or so she has looked very uncomfortable or in pain. This would be separate to her very recent complaining about her tonsils getting swollen. Also on that note, she said that she checked and didn't have any white bits on her tonsils. Come on, we all know who in that household had to look down her gullet: the Twin Bed Troglodyte. Something is happening in those gizzards, and she can feel it yet keeps stuffing vast quantities of food of dubious-nourishment down into them.
She certainly does have symptoms of COVID, even if she doesn't have the classic ones of fever, cough etc. She has a sore throat and is feeling fatigued. While these are less common symptoms, they are still listed on the Ottawa public health website as being symptoms of the virus. Other less common symptoms include diarrhea (which is a daily occurrence for Chantal) and abdominal pain (as noted above, although she has mentioned this for longer than she has mentioned her sore throat). I haven't had to go for a COVID test, but I presume that they have to triage these tests so that only people presenting symptoms get tested. If she is actually booked in for a test then she must be showing applicable symptoms (there are other justification as to why one would qualify for testing, but these don't apply to her: she doesn't know anyone with the virus; doesn't work in healthcare etc). Yeah, it might just be a common cold, but for the time being she needs to treat it like it's COVID in order to protect others.
Again from the Ottawa public health website, if you are ill (and particularly if you have COVID symptoms) you should isolate. As she won't have any staple food stocks in her home, and her pre-HRT Troon housemate can't drive, I think somebody needs to warn Uber Eats that they need to hire additional delivery drivers ASAP. Who am I kidding, she's still going to go out to pick up orders that aren't available on Uber Eats. The only activity I can see her limiting is her visits to her grandmother and mother, so that she has an excuse to avoid helping them. That does mean her toenails aren't getting trimmed for another couple of weeks though. I'm sure grandma can still wire over the usual monetary gift.
Also, in her community post she spergs about her mask wearing etc as though it's some magical spell that means that she can't catch the virus. Even if she were following mask and sanitation guidance properly (lol, she's not, but she thinks she is), this only reduces the risk rather than eliminating it. I can easily see her still catching the virus from things like door handles etc in public and then smearing her chubby digits over her phone and purse before she's had a chance to clean her hands.
