I disagree that what they're doing is actually gonna be effective in defusing the incoming storm. Trust within the mainstream media has been recorded at its lowest according to the most recent Gallup poll. 60% of the American population do not believe in the mainstream media at all, and for the 40% that do believe in it, only 9% of that 40% have a "great deal of trust" in the mainstream media, with 31% only having a "fair amount of trust."

Wouldn’t that basically translate to a current day percentage who’s voting for trump and who isn’t at this point?

Qanon is also popular among Facebook boomers, so most people's brush with Trump fans online will be that crazy old relative who is also a Q nut on Failbook. To them the smear will be entirely plausible. Oddly enough, in a Macleans' article about something entirely unrelated (A family demanding an open inquiry into a shooting spree in the New Brunswick IIRC), there's a guy in a Q shirt pictured in the protesting crowd. The article doesn't bother highlighting it & presents their concern as legitimate. So it has a bit more reach than you'd expect.

Hunter Biden is facing fresh questions over business dealing in yet another nation — Kazakhstan.

Between 2012 and 2014 — when his father Joe Biden served as Vice President — Hunter Biden worked as a go-between to Kenes Rakishev, a Kazakh oligarch with close ties to the country’s longtime kleptocratic leader Nursultan Nazarbayev, The Daily Mail reported.

The British tabloid said they obtained emails from “anti-corruption campaigners” in Kazakhstan showing Hunter making contact with Rakishev and attempting to facilitate investment for his cash in New York, Washington DC and a Nevada mining company.

Through his connections, emails show Hunter Biden successfully engineered a $1 million investment from Rakishev to filmmaker Alexandra Forbes Kerry — the daughter of ex-Sen. and former Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, the report said.

Hunter Biden also traveled to the country’s capital of Astana for business talks.

Rakishev, however, repeatedly ran into problems finding western business partners due to the murky origins of his wealth. The respected International Finance Corp. pulled out a planned deal with him over “liabilities” stemming from his connections to the country’s rulers.

As in other nations like Ukraine and China where Hunter plied his trade, Joe Biden may not have been far behind. The Mail published a photo they obtained from the “Kazakhstani Initiative on Asset Recovery” showing Hunter Biden with his beaming father alongside Rakishev.

Hunter Biden and Rakishev also enjoyed a long and chummy personal correspondence as well, alleged emails show.

“I’m on vacation with family [at] Lake Michigan . . . trying to spend some much needed time with my wife and daughters. It’s my 20th anniversary of marriage tomorrow,” Hunter told Rakishev in 2013.

Oh, I didn't see that we had a release about him being involved in Kazakhstan yesterday. Would you look at that, there's Hunter Biden working with the daughter of John Kerry to scrounge up even more 'investments' in foreign countries. Could be anything from the tungsten rods from god, to satellite based laser or directed energy weapons, to some ultra fast hypersonic missile that everyone is in a rush to develop.

If the US didn't build a Rods From God system with all the military launches it did I'll be very disappointed. Actually, it really should have a deployable hypersonic weapon too whether a conventionally armed ICBM or something derived from the various hypersonic vehicles and spaceplanes it has tested. I'd also assume that the US has the ability to track Russian and Chinese subs.

Lasers? It's possible but the problem is that laser technology was pretty primitive back at the height of the Cold War and since then the US has been cutting back on military R&D. It's still possible though. Hell, it's possible some of those Edward Teller nuclear pumped X-ray laser satellites got built. The problem there seems like the targeting electronics and focussing which you could definitely do now. As far as I know, the fundamental principle was successfully tested.

All of which means if Russia or, more likely, China tries to start some shit they're going to get some very nasty surprises about how viable their nuclear forces are.
