Trying to bait out an outright denial from the Biden campaign perhaps? According to Bannon, the NY Post had the metadata when they published the story.

The fact that Biden's campaign still hasn't contested the emails' authenticity, and are now going into PR lockdown until the Thursday debate, makes me lean pretty strongly towards believing that the emails are authentic.

Since all of social media were trying to DFE by deleting anything and everything related to the initial Biden leaks, people are speculating whether this will lead to 230 being repealed or restricted, leading to sites like KF being left to the wolves. It won't, just like how Net Neutrality ending didn't make people pay extra to access certain sites (like a cable/SAT package subscription), and how Article 13 didn't prosecute people for making/posting memes with copyrighted content.

Null worries about these things, and he certainly isn't wrong in doing so, but I sincerely doubt Twitter and Facebook will be nuked by Trump, nor do I think that the government will suddenly strip sites like KF of freedom of speech rights or take them down. Dorsey and Zuckerberg aren't saints, but they're also much lower on the totem pole. Trump would rather have Pelosi and Schumer grilled at a hearing than those two dweebs. They're just the catalyst for data-mining and disinformation campaigns, but without them, nothing changes. Another lapdog will take their place and do exactly the same, if not worse things in order to save face.

Trump fucks over his own online supporters if the changes aren't narrowed down to sites above an X million user threshold to differentiate big tech from little tech, small start-ups are also the main argument used against touching section 230.

I think it's inevitable that a user threshold will be worked in that excludes stuff like KF or that the_donald refugee site, it's the path of least resistance and Reps have no incentive to even fight that battle.

They already did right when this started and Big Tech decided to censor everything and make the story about Big Tech censorship instead of all the evidence linking Biden to corruption and federal crimes and his junkie son to both corruption and probably child rape. Right now they have to hope for a bigger story to come up and there isn't one without making one (be it more Big Tech censorship, an Arkansas-related suicide, or a false flag shooting done by a "white supremacist"). Trump getting the Chinavirus when he did was a godsend.

It's harder to memory hole when there are new leaks popping up. Biden can say "lol debunked" and the public will forget but if there is something new for the rare reporter with balls to hound him about it will stay in the public consciousness. The NY Post is actually the very same paper that broke that story, but interestingly, they'd been seeding that one for months prior to the big accusation. What made the whole thing suspect isn't that they had him dead to rights - that was expected, the Post is kind of old hat at this thing - it's that the initial leaks started to happen after Weiner put up the Honest Services Restoration Act.

It died in committee, but the bill was basically an attempt to crack down on financial malfeasance (bribery and such) by mandating that if an elected official had financial ties or familial ties to a given subject, they were mandated to disclose it or face strict penalties. At the time the scandal first started to surface, Weiner was in the process of trying to secure bipartisan support for it. Bam, cue scandal.

General belief among a lot of his staff at the time was that his sexts were leaked by the DNC (who largely opposed the legislation) to the Post (who would publish them) to make an example of him.
