Having more subscribers is a double-edged sword if views are dropping. It means that retention is poor which the YT algorithm dislikes. Things were better for her when she was at around 50k subscribers and getting around 40k views. Having 80k subscribers but barely getting 20k views is just awful.

I started following Chantal's antics shortly before the split with Malan. Once we had that (on the back of a hysterectomy) plus moving out and how manic she seemed during the initial move-in to the new place, I honestly thought she was going to go full Britney Spears 2007 and shave what's left of her hair off. Maybe that could still happen, as she is getting worse. As you say, she is very isolated and doesn't seem to do anything productive with her life at all. She said she went to bed at 8am the other day - that is no way to live, unless you have an actual overnight shift job.

To be honest, at this stage she probably would be better off shaving her head and wearing wigs, like Milk Tea. She wouldn't have to fuck around with hair powder all the time, and it could cope with the minimal amount of shampoo & conditioner that her head sees at the moment. She'd only need to plop on a wig when doing a video or getting food - I'm sure James wouldn't mind/care/notice her hairstyle when she scoots her office chair between the fridge and the toilet. Chantal is reacting like a scared animal because for the first time in her life, her way of life is truly threatened. It does not help that she has never faced real adversity and has a lot of difficulty adapting to any sort of change. In less than a year she has been dumped by a man she was in a long relationship with and might now lose her source of income as an unemployable and disabled person.
