I absolutely believe that Trump wins Minnesota. He only lost there in 2016 by 45K votes. Now we've seen the resurgence of the Rust Belt, followed with all these mayors and groups and the like endorsing him.

This was the gap in 2016:
Hillary - 1,367,716 (46.44%)
Trump - 1,322,951 (44.92%)

Oregon is a much bigger gap, plus I haven't heard the overt enhausism for Trump that I've heard in Minnesota. This is a 1.5% gap. That can flip easily.

Blue area in Florida. The crowd was mainly old white and Hispanic. About 10% jogger. A noticable amount of Hispanics and others were wearing Trump hats, 15+ total. Only saw one Biden mask. Saw some SJW types though.

  • Start talking with Cuban, ask if he saw the caravan. Pried a tiny bit, wouldn't say who he was voting for (didn't need him to really)
  • Said he never saw anything like that before, closest was Obama 08
  • Started talking to white couple in front
  • Old guy says this never is this busy during election year early voting
  • He starts joking about Brenda Snipes and hanging chads, one box leads to the counter, the other to the shredder
  • Try to hide powerlevel. Start to talk about COVID and what #science said.
  • Lady outright said she didn't trust the CDC, Laughs and says Bill Clinton had the biggest fall from grace in US history.
  • Says she hates people who ask her how to vote, shuts door on people
  • Said they didn't believe polls at all
Overall, didn't see the youth and black surge Plastic and Cope are predicting. I'm expecting Florida to be called on election night.

Trump's done work for the rust belt but he's done fuck-all for dairy farming, logging, or mining, so he's won no good graces with the politically homeless Republican voters of Oregon. They have the hate for the blues, but not the love for red that Minnesotans might have from their factories, or Appalachians from their coal. Repeal a few EPA regulations and he'd have the right half of the state in the bag. Too late now, missed opportunity.

You'll say there's no passion for it, but the Democrats hold every large metro in the nation. They haven't even staged a rally in some hive like San Francisco or Boston. The goal of rallies, pre-Trump at least, was to give campaigns a bit of fodder to run with in their ads. They could pack a stadium in Cali and lie by omission when running the same footage in Nevada or Arizona. The sentiment here is that Biden won't last 10 minutes alone in that environment but still! And while anti-Trump sentiment might fire them up, pro-Any DNC Candidate sentiment does not. Even Bernie's rabid base doesn't care about him since he's become the real life incarnation of pic related

Even he gets more pro Trump hecklers than anything at his Biden shilling events these days. We'll find out in a few weeks if a platform of little more than 'I'm not Trump and he killed 200 gorillion people' is enough to actually carry Biden over the finish line.

While I agree that both the Dems and Labour are fucked, there's a lot in your summary that isn't quite right.

First, you talked about Labour's red wall, but didn't mention Farage. Without him those seats would have stayed red. We don't have a party that can siphon votes from the Dems in the US.

Second, Trump predates Brexit. Trump was winning in the primaries long before Britain voted leave. They are following our lead, not the other way around. There's not much we can learn from them actually.

Since it is a 4-4 decision, no precedent is set. They can try again when ACB is up on Friday.

Horrific thought, if RBG didn't die, counting after election day would be legalized across the country.

Yeah. Once she gets on the court, it will be a litmus test to see if we can trust her when it comes to being an originalist and holding voter fraud accountable. I'm optimistic, but better to know now than after Election Day.
