I think shitting on Gura, esp in Fubuki’s chat is stupid.

FBK & Korone hitting 1M first would be a nice testament to how hard they’ve worked to build Hololive and themselves.
But Gura has been nothing but respectful and polite to the HololiveJP girls. She just happens to have a good gimmick and knows how to work it. I agree with people who want to see one of them win, but they shouldn’t want Gura to “lose” if you know what I mean.

If they’re smart, the three of them would do a 1 Million party together.

In other annoying fan news - a bunch of people were trying to suggest Luna stream DotA. Because apparently there aren’t enough boring DotA streams.

Subscriber numbers doesn't matter very much i mean in all hololive there are people that have been since the start and barely get 300k suscribers like Akirose or Mel and they are still there i mean, imagine being Holostar that not a single of them has breaked the 100k line

Gura had like 980k subs on her Senzawa account for getting shit faced and singing about furry shit, I kinda expected her to rise fast in subs.

Honestly, the Holostars are pretty boring to watch. Roberu's the only one who hooked my interest and it's pretty telling about the state of Holostars.

Fubuki actually talked about her meteoric success before, months ago, when people were saying that she's the face of hololive moreso than Sora, and her response was that she found it both overwhelming and kind of upsetting that people have to regard just one of them as the "face" for the entire organization. Corporate bullshit aside, one thing that is consistent among the performers is that even if they don't work with one another all that often, they all respect one another as creators and want to help everyone succeed. Most people I see just look at the race to a million as a fun thing but really want all 3 of the 900k crew to hit it at some point. YT chat is full on retarded, though, which is why you should mostly ignore it.

Speaking of that, it seems that the subreddit is a bunch of masochistic fucks since they've attracted a bunch of jackasses with Fubuki finally revealing herself on an official account.

Most of the holostars don't really care about their low numbers and are happy people are watching at all. Roberu especially said that he doesn't give a shit who your favorite is if it isn't him, and is just happy people come by to say hi to him even if it's just for a few minutes. That man really loves his job and I'm glad he's getting a ton of recognition for the work he does.

Considering that most Holostars, as far as I'm aware work part-time, they're in a pretty good position about on the level of a mid-tier twitch streamer who can pull in 1000+ viewers on average, but with the added bonus of a modest salary from Cover. I don't think any of the boys expect to pull a 10th of the numbers of a Hololiver. I wish Cover would give them all model upgrades though, especially Robel, who looks like a talking oil painting.

Completely unrelated, but Ina should do a mahjong teaching stream. Mahjong is a very entertaining game to spectate once you know the rules. It's kind of like uno + poker but with more decision making and PvP action. Mahjong streamers are popular in Japan but hardly anyone knows how to play in the west. Flare, Botan, Marine, Pekora, Matsuri and Robel have played on stream before. The PekoMarine stream in particular is very funny because of how Marine's chaotic beginners luck playstyle ends up screwing over Pekora's low-risk low-score style. For a rabbit, she's not very lucky.

Roberu is the only full time Holostar I can think of; his schedule is so cutthroat that it only makes sense. The guy does a morning free talk stream, then a gameplay stream a few hours later, and then an evening free talk stream/readout.

Another piece of strange news: it seems Calli is slated to be a guest on the Trash Taste podcast, if this is anything to go by.
