It has been obvious for some time now, also the fact that he's snorting them.
This type of behavior, being proud of having withdrawal symptoms because you have a high tolerance level, it's so immature, it's something you would see from young people just starting out on drugs who think that it's some sort of badge of honor, not someone who is close to 40. Then again, both Dax and Ralph try to behave like "cool kids" and fail spectacularly.

I find it funny he criticizes Peterson for getting help but he probably doesn't have a clear picture how dependent he is on the pills, the symptoms he notices after a few hours/a day when he needs to take more pills are not the same symptoms he would experience after X days/weeks/months without anything in his system, and since he has never been able to even reduce his alcohol intake I doubt he would be able to get through it.

Either way, if he's going through withdrawals the way he describes then add one to the list of "Ralph is completely fucked".
