Of course its coordinated. I've mentioned this before but Biden, the new PM of NZ (both left leaning) and the right of centre Conservatives in the UK are using the same slogan, "Build Back Better ". Why are they doing this? Political parties at opposite ends of the spectrum with the same logo is bizarre and uncanny valley.

I think it's less conspiracy and more a case of in-group jargon and group-think, same as how so many people started using "third way" to describe faux-centrist leftism in the 90s (despite it being a fascist term in the 30s). The functionaries and civil servants, who feed the elected leaders their promotional ideas, all read the same niche publications and attend the same parties, seminars, and international junkets, so they end up sounding alike and promoting the same terms of art.

That's also a really good point. And in a way, that's probably more scary than an outright conspiracy theory. When you have political leaders too incapable of stringing together an original thought, you're in deep, deep shit. I can imagine them, sitting about on a zoom cool, watching someone speak, goggling like a group of brain dead retards, hearing a NYYYYYYYOO AND SHIINNEEEEE phrase and thinking "oh yah, like that, like, sounds, like, rilly kewl, Imma use that!".


If we have political leaders who are so inept, incapable and intellectually subpar they have to rely on other retards to generate their zeitgeisty spud grade jargon, then we're in deep shit.

It was more about using Blockchain and whatnot to provide a digital and transnational vaccine pass, without which you would probably be banned from travelling internationally. It would then be basically a transnational passport linked to every digital information about you, and would be required for all sorts of online activities in order to prevent anonymity.
Fun fact, the idea of the passport kinda goes back to the Bubonic Plague where people had to carry clearance papers to travel.

Do you know how brazen this can get? Right in the early days and even now sometimes, I see the posters that say "We thank the doctors for the Christmas of 2021".

News in the beginning in my country were already probing and telling us the restrictions would continue until 2021. Now, my country is quite poor and we have nothing to lose but our chains and the mask mandate isn't so strictly enforced right now (well, compared to European countries anyway) but holy shit.

So I have a sneaking suspicion (I'm sorry for tinfoilery) but this corona crisis is the first contraction before the birth of the actual global government. I notice how similar, even in wording, some of these lockdown policies are and I still have this lingering feeling that it has to be coordinated.

You know, I might just start listening to Alex Jones.

There's only one thing that I don't understand: why can't elites understand that they can't really take their riches into their grave? Why do they insist on widening the gap? Unless they've found a way to extend their life permanently, no matter how rich and privileged their lives are, they are finite.

What gives? Why won't let plebes live their lives?

It might be as simple as a sunk cost fallacy. They told us from the beginning that destroying the economy and wrecking whole societies was worth it because the alternative was tens of millions of dead people. The WHO estimates that the real number of infections globally is approaching a billion, so an overall mortality rate of 0.01%. We've gone from the great plague multiplied by Ebola to a really mild flu season. So what politician is going to put his hand up and admit that the lockdowns were all a terrible mistake? So on we go, living in a fantasy world where we pretend a moderately bad chest cold is an existential threat because God forbid they admit they fucked up.

So despite our statewide mask mandate ending a few weeks ago, it's been reinstituted in several counties that have had "spiking" cases, along with stricter size limits on public gatherings again. A couple others (mine included) are being monitored. Thought I was done with this shit, but I guess not.

Aside from the lunacy of the coof being harmless to >99% of people who get it, I really don't understand why we're going back on this. In pretty much every business I've been to, there are signs up asking people to wear masks inside, and I still see people wearing them constantly. Thus, if masks are being worn but cases are going up, logic would dictate that masks do jackshit and there's no need to put out a mandate again. But nope, gotta keep looking like you're doing something, even when doing nothing would have been a better move.

On a brighter note, my church is making plans to return to in-person worship in early December. There'll be some differences, like some pews being cordoned off and masks still being required, and we'll continue broadcasting services for those that aren't comfortable with attending in person. Still, if all goes well, we'll be back together again in time for Christmas. I was talking with my pastor about it today, and he said that while he's thankful for the technological solutions that have allowed us to continue worship, he's tired of preaching to a webcam. Keeping my fingers crossed that they don't get cold feet and change their minds; I was sick of remote worship months ago, and not having that feeling of community in my life has definitely been noticeable.

The cure is much worse than the disease, and it's getting worse the longer this goes on.

Sweden had 1 death yesterday, and they have yet to see cases reach the previous peak, with yesterday having about 800.

That would be equivalent to the UK having something like 10 deaths and approximately 5500 cases (as opposed to 200 and 21k).

It's more tedious than waiting for Rudy to quit sharting and dump his receipts.
