I don't think this is on purpose scamwise but it comes from a spoiled entitled mindset.
His stupidity costed him another year of it, but instead of owning up to it because he forgot to not auto-renew it, he's gonna cry about it like a Karen. Best thing is he wants you, yes, YOU, to cover for his stupidity.

See, this is something about Phil that genuinely makes me MATI. He knows he's too small-time and irrelevant for anyone to argue or jab at him without provocation, so he only makes vague complaints without directly trying to start something.
So he gets up on a soapbox and preaches about how awful you are, biting at your ankles while holding himself as a hero, but ONLY in such a way that you'd be the asshole if you bent down and confronted him on it. He doesn't directly contact you, he just makes a stink in his tiny, tiny corner of the internet. He also only talks shit at the easiest of targets, such as the absolute most popular streamers (Ninja) or people with already soured reputations (Pokimane, WingsofRedemption)

Or a company that everyone knows is infamous for ruining successful franchises, absorbing smaller developers and then firing all the staff, mandating their own software market for an entire platform that is loaded with bloatware and injects all the games for sale with DRM, and doing more than its fair share of the dumbing down of video games in general.
But no, it took his own carelessness and the loss of a tiny fraction of what he makes in a week for God-Emperor Phil to declare that the EA twitch account is persona non grata in his chat, as though whatever unpaid intern that they'd assigned to hand out codes that one night would ever be assigned by his superiors to ever visit the same channel twice.
