Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Oh, you mean good product and good customer service gains you more backers over the course of 2 years?

Who knew?

It wasn't my prediction, btw. It was backerkit.

You know it's going up on IGG, right?
He just gets mad when people produce and deliver books, and madder that people actually like to read them. It's so cringe.

A loooootttt of cope going on here!

I'll just take your "It's going up on IGG" as an admission that it didn't make as much money as you projected it would on KS, and your blaming of BackerKit as a funny bit of crying.

BTW, it's a great looking book! But without my promotion, it has failed to live up to your bragging and expectations.

What's wrong with the comic book industry? Well...

A who's who of who cares. I'm glad internet lawyer Jamal Igle is there to lend the whole thing gravitas...

In kinda related news, Jon of the Rice & Pegston Poulter had a tard fight on twitter.
CANCELED. 😂

If you look at this chart (it's slightly outdated, but just slightly) you'll see a huge gulf between big projects and the absurdly successful ones, like JawBreakers: Lost Souls, Earthworm Jim, Icarus and the Sun and CyberFrog. Nobody is landing in the $300's. I think next year you'll see Jon Malin, possibly Dan Fraga, and Cecil (if his project fulfills properly) get there, and more and more creators winning six figure campaigns.
Did you give up on that $10million dream for 2020? And are you adding people who haven't sworn to the CG flag to your CG tally?

DERAILED! Good predictions, Vikki.

Well, this was dumb of you. If we're counting on one campaign, and when it ends without including the money gained after in demand, then by all means, the first Cyberfrog is not a million dollar campaign because it took you 6 times to get there.

Not to mention, by Simple Zack's own metric, a book that can't hit 6 figures is not a franchise, so using your own premature gloating logic here, Simple Zack can't say Impossible Stars is a franchise either. Bunny Boy really gets on your nerves, doesn't he?

Cyberfrog is not worth anything

CG is about showing Marvel / DC that there are a lot of fans that HATE these people who ruin everything everyday and they think its funny

Hate is the 2nd most powerful emotion

I have a suggestion: don't butt into a conversation if you have nothing to contribute.

Lol, "I'm not mad, you are!" Typical WC plebian Twitter tactics. Nothing to offer, nothing to contribute, not even knowing that CG has changed over the times and that their gay little vanguard group is no longer needed in the grand scheme of things to push anything forward.

And here this little gaywad is, wondering why EVS dumped them and trying to like balls at the same time to prove they're still worth something... months too late for a retard to comprehend.

Matt, you talked WC out of CG, and Testefy wrecked your group up. The only person I know that's still clamoring onto the defense of WC is Liam in his sperg argument against Smiller. And that he has SmilingBandito (who is pretty much as WC adjacent to the point that he might as well be one) who's pretty much a pseudo intellectual retard on as a panelist on his show. There's no more coming back for WC. Have fun being irrelevant in the DnD corner of Twitter.

First of all, settle down. This is just in fun. Vikki said that campaign was on track to beat TRUMP SPACE FORCE, and it didn't, so I'm having a laugh. She and her cronies are the ones that take this seriously.

But let's take it seriously together for a second. TRUMP SPACE FORCE had a funding period of 45 days, while KAMEN 2 was only 30 days. Both closed out directly afterwards, without an In Demand period.

So you could say that if KAMEN AMERICA 2 were given those extra 15 days, it should make all the difference.

But then again, I didn't start promoting TSF until it was halfway thru, so it's impossible to get an even reading.,

The IGG campaign should do great and I wish them luck.

Bunny Boy is a weirdo who got his feelings hurt when I said that Trump books were gay and a waste of time for Chuck Dixon. He spent the next year trying to sabotage me with Gay Ops and creepy, womanly shit that I'm
still trying to comprehend, while crying about being a victim of ComicsGate and promoting a fairly effective hate campaign against me. According to Mitch Breitweiser, he was also involved in some kind of blackmail scheme against Mitch and Betty. That's Mitch's story to tell.

I never had any use for Tim Lim. I was more interested in Chuck Dixon starting up his own individual brand under our umbrella. Didn't happen.

At some point, we decided to stay in our own lanes. They got some Twitter attention from Sebastian Gorka and one of POTUS' sons, and are working hard to get more of that.

God bless.

I never give up on $10 million dreams.

And yes, I include EVERYONE in my "CG Tally." Especially TenNapel.
One of your tweets tonight is a reply to someone about to launch an IGG campaign I wanted to check out, the Trent Kanuiga thing. I searched "creed" on IGG and this abomination popped up:

"Midnight Widows issues 1-3
Lesbian vampires versus zombie serial killers in this horror comic from Doris V. Sutherland and co!"

I blame you.

Insert gif of Ace Ventura throwing up.

Has anyone guessed that Buck Rogers is David W. Brook aka Gat Hanzo? Rambles, constant rewrites, has a favorable view of WC, love/hate relationship towards Frog and a limited vocabulary. If you are, get verified like the other CG spergs and tell Roro to get Vestige #2 out in 8 days or else be a maggot.

On other news, if I'm not late, HBO Max is doing a Green Lateran series what will have Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz and Alan Scott in it. I'm sure Frog will be thrilled as he created Jessica Cruz and will :optimistic: get some royalties out of it. Though I wonder how woke or sjw it will be as GLs are suppose to be the galaxy's police force so *shrug*

Here's what it really boils down to: No one has any new ideas in comics. The Big Two tried to put milkshakes in their gastanks and in response, what we call "CG" decided to revive the 80s-90s era of comics, using recycled versions of TMNT & GiJoe with content so compelling that they must rely on their YouTube charisma to wrangle the paypiggy per capita income. It's been said in different ways before, but as cool as Image was when it first hit the shelves, the only enduring properties to come out of that era was Savage Dragon and Spawn. It's not enough to be a gifted artist. If you're going to do it yourself, you have to be a gifted creator and a gifted writer too. Lacking 2 of those three requirements, Van Shekels is content with fusing his YT presence (which he does have a gift/grift for) to get it to sell. This has worked, but the comic is such an overproduced & overpriced bowl of Styrofoam airplane peanuts that it can't be used to form a solid foundation for a napkin holder let alone the last white hope of comic books.

Alright, to move on from the retardation in-thread, here's something that just happened: Liam streamed for half an hour whining about something like not being appreciated for what he's done for people in the community, being backstabbed, the usual sympathy fishing bullshit he does, etc...

Then he breaks down crying and ended the stream and privated it.

Well, something got that orange autism in a bind.

There's a point that rings true. Those who are using their platforms to make money through 'personality' are helping to get new people to BUY their comics. But are they making new comic fans? It's one thing to convince people to buy the same comic book six different times over a couple years. That's great for one person's bank account. But is it actually helping 'save comics', or does anyone actually care about that?

I know everyone is in it for themselves. That's granted. So maybe it's a dumb question. But the argument in CG used to be that the big three were killing the industry. Was CG just about putting money in a few creators pockets, or was it actually about creating a new industry?

And yeah, I know you can't create a new industry without putting money in creators pockets. I'm just wondering where the emphasis is. Is it on 'being entertaining on Youtube', or is it about producing great comics and creating a new fanbase for the future of the hobby?

Sorry if that doesn't make enough sense, had a little too much Jack to think.

Fixed it for you.
Savage Dragon is Erik Larsen losing money over making his comicbook forever at this point.
Spawn is cool toys and brand deals

And @FROG is dollar-store Todd McFarlane.
