US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Watching Biden speak now, and feel the need to cut him some slack: if his father really did go on like that, sermonizing like a preacher who made up his own religion, throwing pithy little sayings like a cornpop fortune-cookie writer, railing like a blowsy melodrama actor, and lecturing on economics like the guy at the end of the bar, it's little wonder he turned out the way he did. He shouldn't be president, but at least I think we should say that his being an abject failure isn't entirely his fault.

In other news, this popped up on Facebook.

It's afraid.
Never believe a politician, and politicians are the least trustworthy when they are asking for money. The Biden campaign insiders are embezzling money to retire, I tell you. (Probably a retirement in China, where the US can't extradite them.)

Biden needs no lid in Pennsylvani...Joe where are you going?

"President for all Americans."

It's not an unbelievable thing, but it's just so... surreal. You'd imagine that she'd just not vote to begin with, or maybe she'd vote for a third party, since voting for Trump has a range of potential imports, the most typical of which would seem to contradict her (admittedly, presumed) values. It probably should be easier for me to understand than it is given that even religious and socially conservative Christians routinely vote for Democrats who only tolerate a neutered Christianity that'll allow for the very things they decry, but that behavior is probably the result of having to be defensive of their faith in a society that constantly derided them for taking it seriously.

As crappy as it may seem, my first reaction to this was "manic episode" (even if the people that are voting for Biden despite the bald attempts of the MSM to propagandize away recent revelations aren't much better, even if some are hypocrites that'll gleefully vote for people that advocate against their values and not even try to counterbalance that with their own advocacy if the truly believe themselves to be voting for "the lesser evil", and even if they all are unwilling to assert their own values in the political sphere to be carried by anyone). I also considered the possibility she's trying to cultivate a following using the "converted dangerhair" narrative, but that's even less tenable since a) this came from Tik-Tok, and b) even disregarding (a), she'd very obviously be courting an audience she'd find distasteful in other ways, even if she only felt that way initially.

That would be a lateral move, which... actually makes it plausible, especially since a community for those exists.

She made a follow-up explaining it, and doesn't mention anything wacky.

Noticed if you goto her twitter from a websearch you just get the "something went wrong" twitter page. If you go from one of her tweets though it actually leads you to her page. Assuming shadowbanned or something?

I'd originally thought manic episode too a few months back when she originally popped up but it's going on like 3 months of her having flipped now, people were trying to tell her she was going crazy and all this stuff in her twitter feed and she just kept going against her ex clique, Twitter been going after her fairly frequently too, enough she has to have burner accounts.

Her change actually kinda reminds me of how I pretty much flipped over Pizzagate and a few other things I noticed the media overreact to. So I actually do find it to be a pretty decent chance she just changed her opinion, I've never been that vocal about my political realignment though cause lot of my friends have TDS stupid bad and it'd probably end badly.

One of the replies to her tweets is this...

They twitter lefties are trying to call her a plant, her old account went back quite a few years and showed she was typical SJW up until a few months back.
Leftists and their crazy conspiracy theories.

Yesterday evening, former vice president and the current Democratic presidential nominee in the upcoming US elections, Joe Biden, commemorated the 1956 Hungarian revolution on his official Twitter page.

Biden wrote that on 23rd October, 1956, “freedom-loving Hungarians revolted against communist rule,” which later inspired the Prague Spring, other revolts around Europe and ultimately the fall of the Berlin wall.

According to index.hu, the current US president and Republican candidate Donald Trump have not yet commemorated the event so far, as a database of all his tweets show.
How do you say Drumpf! in Hungarian?

If anyone deserves credit for historical knowledge, it should be the campaign intern managing Biden's twitter account. I doubt Biden could find Budapest on a map

I know that feeling, fam.

I never thought I would do this shit either, but that I did and my ballot was verified by the county as accepted.

Haven't voted yet (tried yesterday at two locations but the lines were too long, going to try again on Monday) but I can't wait to vote for Trump. Four years ago I went third party because I couldn't stand him and I was 100% sure he was going to ruin the country. I was 500% sure Hillary was going to destroy us, so third party was the only option. I'll add that I was the only one in my family not to vote for Trump, I disliked him that strongly.

Then Kavanaugh happened and I started paying attention.--very close attention. I've been team Trump ever since.

I don't think it's that big of a surprise that some people have shifted to Trump. Most people who experience cognitive dissonance regarding what they're told to believe and accept vs. reality and experience tend to eventually realize they're being gaslighted. It's the black and white thinkers and people who are low information/high emotion that cling to their sinking ships as the corrupt captain they love torpedoes it into wooden splinters.

I still don't care for Trump as a person, but I like what he's doing. The Democrats (and more than a few Republicans) have been acting like cornered rats ever since his election and their decisions have reflected that. To me that's the bigger thing--their response proves the swamp is deep indeed.

I think that was the major turning point for a lot of people. None of their claims against Kavanaugh were credible. It was such an obvious hit job. To sink so low to use false rape accusations is appalling. Especially bad is that they've done it many times before and since. These people are about as close to pure evil as you can get.

Trying to use Kavanaugh's righteous anger at being railroaded as an additional disqualifier really fried my ass. That's basically when I decided I was going to use my 2020 vote to help insure these clowns wouldn't have any increased power.
