US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? I come from a small town in PA and I can tell you the sign war has been very interesting.

All the new fixed up houses with the people who moved in from other cities in the US or PA itself have Biden signs, while most of the older, more crusty looking houses with people who've lived there longer than my family has almost to a T have Trump signs.

Then when you drive out into the rest of the county, I maybe see one or two Biden signs after hundreds of Trump signs. But here's what gets me: Biden supporters only have yards signs. Trump supporters have flags, billboards, hell even the signs can vary from place to place, they're not all the same type. Even more interesting, the Biden signs started popping up a week ago. I was seeing Trump 2020 signs and flags in 2018. The enthusiasm gap is fucking Mariana Trench sized comparatively. I also saw one Jo Jorgensen sign, but I honestly think whoever put that up has a sense of humor. Another thing I noticed is that a good amount of Trump signs are surrounded by the local Republican races. I never see that with the Biden signs.

Oh and for the laughs, there is one townhouse with a Trump flag that says "No More Bullshit" on one half and the other half has a sign saying "Presidents are Temporary, Wakanda is Forever" and a BLM sign. That's got to be a bit weird.

There is abolsutely no way the Blue Working Class will be voting for Biden this year. There's reason Kristen Welker said "Why would you do that?" when Biden made his intention clear that he wants America to move away from oil in 15 years. It's something that only voters who care only about the environment (hardcore Dems) dream of. For the rest of America we all know that means raised prices on utilities, including Electric so it'll even impact your upper middle class who bought the $30,000 Teslas.

The Biden campaign is imploding and the MSM want to tell us things have stayed the same thing with Biden having a stable lead. It's absurd. Let them keep dreaming of Blue Texas (LOL).

I think he'll be viewed similarly to Nixon. TDS will last a long time but the deranged edge will eventually wear off until he just becomes a stock historical reference of Orange President during the 2010s-2020s Bad. Leftists will eventually be able to make quasi-humorous mockery and satire of him again since they'll be less and less bound to the idea that anything less than a Two Minutes' Hate is humanizing the Orange Hitler and they'll have had other Republicans that are even worse Hitlers by then.

At worst case scenario he'll just be labelled a mediocre President like GWB, and this is running under the assumption that America will face a recession in 4 years. At best case scenario he'll replace Reagan as the iconic image of Republicanism.

I keep getting calls from my county's party people asking me if they can count on my vote for Biden/Harris. I politely tell them that I choose to keep my secret ballot secret, and that I hope they have a nice day. But it's getting annoying. I think they have my number because I'm a poll worker, (though that doesn't make sense), and it's pissing me off, a bit. "Do I know that an election is coming up?" Uhm yes, I am fully aware.

It's going to be an even bigger pain this year than it has been in the past. Pray for us, fam. We seem set to get a record turnout. Which I will love, because everyone should vote if they can. But, it's going to be an exhausting day.

As a born and raised Delawarian, Joe Biden was/is not a bad man, personally speaking. He has always been charitable, empathetic, and kind.

However, he has consistently had the foot in mouth disease, for 25 years at least, and he's been in politics too long to actually serve anyone but himself. He retired after Beau died, and he shouldn't have come back.

I feel like my party is riding on the good feelings from eleven years ago. Biden doesn't want to be President. He just doesn't want Trump to be President. That's a terrible campaign, and it shows that he has no faith in the younger generations to uphold the moderate Dem flag. He should have continued to lay low, and let some new blood in.

Honestly I believe Biden was just forced to run and is only doing it to help his party rather than actual ambitions to become president. It didn't help he instantly became the nominee after 1 primary contest instead of making it a fair competition.

In two weeks, most people aren't going to remember that outside of the ones who work directly in the oil industry. Mostly because other things will pop up between now and the election, count on it.

You can run ads on multiple things at once, you know. I don't think it will be particularly difficult for Trump to hammer Biden on both promising to essentially shut down the oil industry and whatever new October Surprise comes later this week or the next (probably something related to the Hunter Biden scandal).

Mad about both yet none can accurately pinpoint why outside stock phrases like "watergate" and "Reaganomics". I think you are both going to be right. History might just portray him as "racist president", "he was impeached" or "covid president" (can't wait to see how Coronavirus is spun, particularly in economic circles) without any of the nuance regarding exactly what he did and what the effects were, or why in spite being the worst fucking person in the world, he won in 2016 and (very likely) won 2020.
