"Sugoi" needs to be tagged if you want a response. I don't watch every thread here because I'd have to be autistic myself to keep up on it. Let me refresh your memory: type the @ sign, and then my name. You even get an auto-complete box. It's really handy. The only reason I knew about this post is because @BOLDYSPICY! tagged me and I got a notification. It's really quite neat.
As far as a response to your individual posts: the reason people are misgendering you are their own reasons. I don't answer for the other Kiwis, I don't speak for them. You'll notice, in all of our interactions, I have not once misgendered you nor have I made a transphobic remark against you. (I criticized your clothing, but that had nothing to do with being trans. I criticized your attitude, but also nothing to do with being trans. I criticized your silly posts, but again, nothing to do with being trans.) I don't feel compelled to speak against the numerous times you've called me out against other users of the board because, again, I don't presume to speak for them. I'm not their defender. I'm not in conversation with them on your behalf.
I'm not the Lorax. I don't speak for the trannies. That seems to be your billet anyway, which leads me to the main point:
Why am I laughing at you? It's the same reason that has been repeated time, and time again throughout all of the threads you've shat over: you're funny. You have taken it on yourself to speak for people who don't ask for it, have applied your personal struggles to people worldwide and when asked questions specific to you, about you, pertaining only to you, you respond with grandstanding and social justice talking points that wouldn't be out of place in a very special episode of Blossom. You repeatedly return to threads of "well what you're doing is harmful to transpeople worldwide", "this stuff causes suicides", "misgendering is bad because it hurts transpeople's feelings", "transphobia is bad, mkay?" etc. Every single time you are asked a question about you, you respond with vague, flighty grandstanding. You shield yourself behind the metaphorical weak and broken transperson and continue to point to that as the answer to the question instead of actually answering it. That is where the funny comes, at least for me. Some others here might be laughing at you because you're trans. I don't speak for them, nor do I have to answer for them. This is a board of people from all walks of life, all identities, all parts of whatever special snowflake spectrum you want to hold up. I've learned a long time ago that I don't get to control how people think and talk, even when it's about me, and you should to.
(And if you're not grandstanding, you're putting words in my mouth to make yourself feel oppressed. I never claimed to be "more of a woman" or a better transperson than you.)
I laugh at you because I find your brand of social justice hilarious. I find it funny that some trans people adopt that as their whole identity thinking that that excuses everything else they do, as if it is a get-out-of-jail-free card for criticism. I find it funny when you make comments like the one that originally brought you to my attention, that cis people can't have an opinion on misgendering or understand what it's like. I find it funny when you claim to speak for me, when you claim to speak for sex workers, or you claim to speak for whatever group of people whose backs you want to climb onto to reach the soapbox - and then when someone from that group tells you that you're full of shit, you whip out the tired "No True Scotsman" nonsense. I find it funny that you lump a huge percentage of the world's population into one group and then cast them out when they choose to voice an opinion contrary to the group. And finally, I find it funny how someone can talk big when they're on their quiet corner of the (PUBLIC) internet but when you come under criticism, you batten down the hatches and claim you're being stalked/abused/whatever.
(I also find it funny how you keep retreating to Gamergate as an explanation for who we are as if the world is composed of transphobic/homophobic gamergaters and LGBT-friendly people and nothing else. If you had lurked, as I suggested last night, you would've found that we generally don't like Gamergaters either. But that's a minor thing.)

See? I respect this! Sugoi-chan is a woman I can respect, and I respect her as a PERSON. Her being trans has no bearing on that respect, but its hunky dory with me that she is trans.
