Nothing will happen.

The chance of Jack, Google, or the rest of Silicon getting a real punishment is next to zero. At best they get are fines. Listening to that hearing and how they want Jack to censor anyone criticizing the Holocaust or banning twitter accounts the GOP doesn't like, show that this whole debate is about "censorship for me, but not for thee".

99% of government is a bloated waste.
The Founders knew this and that's why they set up the Republic to essentially be just a tick left of anarchy.
These Committees are useless, their investigations are useless, even if there would be a finding for deeper investigation the Justice Department is useless.
Useless is the overarching theme of government.

I'd keep such bleatings in the back of my mind, but for now, punishing social media for its bullshittery is the most important thing right now, and I want it to happen in a way that doesn't damage communication and information-sharing in the rest of the internet as well.

Sometimes you need to take a large hammer to something first, then take out the chisel and fine tools later. This is one of those times. These Big Tech, Payment Processing, and Banking companies seem to think they are untouchable, and I want them to face a big reminder that they aren't.

Besides, do you honestly think it would be that much different if younger personalities were involved instead of the turbo-boomers still in congress (I certainly don't, given the kinds of people who regularly go on social media)? Or if this hearing were to come from the Democrats?

Hillary being an elector doesn't matter. She'll only be called on if New York goes blue, and if it does, it will be her duty to vote for Biden. All it means is that she won't be a faithless elector, and Hillary gets to potentially get one last kick of vindictiveness in as she votes against Trump.

More importantly, those Chinese leaks need to drop those Obama claims for everyone to see. that's the biggest, baddest news I've heard. If they're legit, Obama's smartest move right now is to turn around and physically throw Biden under the bus to stop the leaks from exposing him any further.

Also, I think Dorsey could have skated by with a scolding or fine, but he lied to the Senate and claimed the link was unblocked when it wasn't. That just opened him up to be slammed with felony perjury. That's a different ballgame than 'hold the tech giants responsible for abusing 230'.

Jack says that Biden corruption tweets are misinformation and he will block them. They are ALLOWING Holocaust denial despite it being considered misinformation that would otherwise be removed.



Then immediately follows that with the statement that twitter allows the supreme leader of Iran, Khamenei, to threaten to eliminate cancerous Jews because Jack wants to respect his right to speak. Khamenei is a Holocaust denier.
