There is no deflating. Maximum lead is maximum salt. They'll just screech harder about how he is an evil racist and america is evil and racist for ellecting him.

Edit: also this is doubly true if he gets 70% of the chamber, and can therefore get 2/3rds majority without any dems. That'd be the salting of carthsgo 2.0

Getting a big enough majority to amend the Constitution would be huge. Most likely not going to happen and even if it did the institutional republicans would prevent any meaningful reforms. Like codifying the size of the Supreme Court to 9 justices.

I find it so bizzare (and incredibly frustrating) when people watch bait being put out, and still bite.

It's like a drunk homeless person asking you for money, you say no, you actually watch them put on a Santa suit, they ask you to donate to the Salvation Army, and you go, "Sure, I'll give you a dollar!" Like you literally just watched him in the process of tricking you.

The whole point of them skewing the polls is so they can say, "See how close we were in 2016? So if we say Trump is down by 12 nationally, he must really be down by a lot!"

Or when they say, "It's different from 2016 because Trump was in the lead at some points. But he's never been ahead this time! So you see Trump supporters, you're gonna lose. Just go ahead and give up!"

They know Trump was close or in the lead in the polls last time which is why they made sure it didn't happen in 2020. That's not proof he's down that much, that's why they're showing him down that much. THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT!

Don't get me wrong, I also think it'd be funnier if Trump won the popular vote and the EC, but I think the screeching would be louder and more dangerous to our institutions if Trump wins 2016-style again. In one outcome we just get meltdowns about how we live in a racist society and even more impotent threats to move to Canada or Western Europe (don't threaten me with a good time) and in the other we see even more actual violence and the cries to abolish the Electoral College get louder and louder.
If anything, I hope the "protesters" will actually make it to the White House instead of just looting the stores around the White House.

Because most people are gullible, demoralized lemmings.
Incorrect. How do I know? Because if they were, the Dems wouldn't be flipping their wigs and trousers trying to pull off the biggest election fraud in the history of our country. Also, sell-out pollsters are setting the stage for the Dems to protest the election. The only reason they would do that is because Trump winning is a huge possibility. They wouldn't be afraid and desperate if there wasn't a real threat. The crazier they get, the more scared they are.

Record-breaking voting is happening, and it's not just Ridin' Hidin' with Biden folks casting ballots.

If the election were honest I'd say Trump has a 70% chance of winning. It's going to be way closer than that though because of fraud.

You think it would be funnier if Biden won the popular vote because people will scream about how Biden REALLY won the election but that fucking racist sexist homophobic transphobic Electroal College STOLE the election.
That wouldn't be funny it would be fucking annoying. They'd definitely try to fuck with the EC. The biggest ratio of lulz to please-shut-the-fuck up will be if Trump wins the popular vote. The more unambiguous his win, the better.

If the polls are right and Biden wins by 5+ points, then I'll eat my hat. Biden is just too shitty and uninspiring of a candidate for that be believable. Hillary was a polarizing figure, but she still had enthusiasm behind her. Plus, Trump's approval ratings are overall pretty good and he has incumbent advantage.

I think as Trump supporters became even more active in pro-Trump online communities in the last 4 years, the idea of trolling the polls became a lot more prevalent. I don't know how these people aren't even thinking of accounting for that

If Trump wins the Popular vote as well as the EC, I think that'd cause a whole sea change. All of a sudden, Trump supporters are no longer the minority - they're the majority, and you can fuckin' bet that would embolden a lot of them to come out.

Edit: To be clear, I think that's a 5% chance at best. I'm still about 50/50 on Biden or Trump winning.

What's the possibility of the election resulting in a 269-269 situation? It can happen if Trump takes all the battleground states plus WI, AZ, and Maine's 2nd District but Biden nags PA. I can only imagine the shit show that might cause.
