Ah, you know the lay of the land! Brockton is a warzone and Weymouth has quickly become New Brockton. In his TikTok videos, one where he is dancing like a sea horse, you can see it's glitzy and has (what looks like) Back Bay in the window. Most of the video scenery looks posh. Alright, so I just watched All About My Mother. For any of you art hoes snobs enthusiasts, it's a solid film and worth a watch. At its core it's about an AGP that decides to get some breasts behind his wife, become a prostitute, catches AIDS and basically fucks (literally and metaphorically) many of the women in his life. I won't spoil much more if you're interested, but what's curious is that the film is mostly considered a melodrama or a comedy-drama because of how over-the-top the situation was back then (1999).

I knew fullwell that if I didn't cut correctly I would puncture an artery and bleed so much that I would pass out within a minute and be dead within 5-15. Which is faster than an ambulance could save me. And I understood that I could have died, but that's also why I studied the anatomy and how to actually perform the surgery.

And I'm not saying that it isn't a completely insane thing to actually do. Because it totally is a insane thing to do. The doctors and psychiatrists etc that Talked to me about it seemed to understand why I did it. Notice the keyword here. Understand. Doesn't mean they encouraged it or anything and besides what was done was done. In the end it all went well and was over with. In the end they didn't judge it to be a act of selfharm so I didn't spend time in a mental institute because of it.

To me it felt like the testicles were poisoning me. Which if you look at it from my perspective they really did. It had nothing to do with self harm or expressing my gender identity. It was more of a form of self healing. Like a person that have an arm stuck in a cliff and the only way out is to cut off the arm.
Anti androgens have side effects and are not 100% effective when it comes to stopping testosterone from poisoning your body. And for me the only way to stop my body from being poisoned was to remove them myself. If I had the money at the time to get the surgery done privately I would have done so. I was desperate and did a very desperate thing.

Gender dysphoria is the distress we feel and what made me perform surgery on myself and is a mental illness. Gender dysphoria is what drives us to transition so we can lessen the amount of distress we feel.

Transgender (or transsexual) is just what my medical condition is. And that's not a mental illness because that doesn't count as distress. I don't believe you can be trans and not ever have dysphoria. Because why go through the whole process of transition if you already are fine and happy the way you are?

But people can be trans and post transition no longer feel dysphoria. And that's why it's so important to distinguish the medical condition from the psychological one.

So yes what I did was caused by a psychological issue (gender dysphoria). But that doesn't mean being transgender is a mental illness.

Delusional or phantom pregnancy. Used to be called hysterical pregnancy. It is one of the weirdest medical conditions and can occur in men or women. They start manifesting symptoms including the physical appearance of pregnancy, and it's completely psychosomatic.
